Other than reducing corruption do courthouse protect against culture flip or the initiate propaganda spy mission, or both?

Right click on the city in question and you should find an option that says "Abandon city" or "Disband city". That should do it. (Only applies if you have the latest patch, though.)

I have 1.16f... Is it really necessary to use 1.29?.. I'm so lazy :-)))

If you want the "disband city option", yeah. :D :p ;)

Calmly now. It's quite possible that the civvers watching this thread just don't know the answer to your question.

Generally the folder will go into your Units folder. You have to add the unit into the editor. After you do that, save the scenario from the editor. Start a game using "New Scenario".

The specifics of what unit files need to go where vary depending on how the artist set them up. There are also files that must be modified (pediaicons.txt and civilopedia.txt) for a new unit to work correctly. The new unit must also have the exact same name as the folder.

That's about all the help I can give and it's probably not too clear. You'll probably have better luck asking this question in the thread where you got the artwork or in the MOD forum.

Courthouses would not protect against culture flips or propoganda, it only reduces corruption. Culture improvements (temples, libraries), and city garrison would help prevent the culture flips. Propaganda is based on what government you are in, and your civs total culture vs the other civs total culture. Police stations help reduce corruption and reduce war weariness, nothing else.

The civilopedia says that courthouse protects against "propaganda", whatever that means. Should I just ignore this?

Do you not know what propaganda is? (In the game, that is, not in general....)

I think in Civ3 context, that means enemy spy ops. ;) But not very sure....

Shaitan is right about what propaganda is.

Here's my question: What does the Great Library do if you only have one opponent civ? Is it worthless then (except for culture)?

I need help on how to edit the mine, irriagation, and terrain graphics for the game. And I also need help on how to make a new building/wonder with new graphics.

"culture flips, city garrison" - sorry to bother you, maybe because I'm not American, I don't know the meaning of these words - What do they mean?
Thanks, shirannybl:confused:

The files for these are held in the various ART folders. You simply need a graphics program that can save pcx files. For an excellent tutorial on how to make new game items see this thread by Plutarck.

Culture flip is when a city rebels and joins another civ because their culture in the game is much higher than their original civ.

City garrison is simply the military ground units with an attack and defense of 1 or greater that are in a city.

Propaganda is a spy operation where you try to subvert a city to switch to your nation.

So propaganda does not mean city defection right? just the spy mission

That's right.

Here's my question: What determines the length of the anarchy period when you switch gov's?
