Will be first GOTM I'm going to seriously try (as opposed to COTM. Less COTMs is giving me an incentive to try GOTMs). Will have to work on learning all the things in PTW I'm not quite familiar with (thanks for the list, Lanzelot). Probably going for Spaceship, since this is the Russians. Usually I do 20k so it'll be a relief to be able to expand and not worry about getting a city to size 12.

Started playing and got distracted by a PBEM and the real world, but should have said a while ago, thanks for the PTW tips! That's a great help. Unfortunately found out that philosophy doesn't add to a republic slingshot the hard way! Ach well - all part of the learning process!
