5, actually. Poland is DLC civ.
Not only that, but Poland (along with Isabella) has yet to be confirmed. Those were guesses off of a fuzzy poster. They could be right, or they could possibly be somebody completely different. Neither was on the leaked civilopedia list.

Either way, they are almost certainly not going to be in the release build. All that I am saying is it would be best to apply caution. Otherwise, it can set up for disappointment.

That is why game companies are hesitant on releasing info anyway.

Now that you mention this, I checked again the all leader portraits. Since we were totally wrong with Norway portrait, we were expecting it was one of Mongolia/Persia/Ottomans, it could be that it isn't Poland either. Although I expect it will be Poland, but they still could be either one of Persia/Ottomans for example according to alphabetic order. But then again there has to be matching portraits for those civs, which seems a bit less likely.

I didn't realise that the Tokyo Game Show was so soon - this week in fact. Surely we're bound to get some juicy gameplay out of that? :yumyum:

Nah, it's Jadwiga for sure (99.9%). I think it's even more visible on the orginal screenshot than on the rescaled ones.

Also from http://www.gry-online.pl/S013.asp?ID=98002 :

"[...] We decided to ask the authors whether Kazimierz or other Polish ruler will come to Civilization VI. Ed Beach, one of the key designers of the new game revealed:

We very much liked the enthusiasm provoked by placing Poland in the game (Civ5). We are pleased with this decision, because the response we received was really great. We can not at this moment reveal what civilizations will be in the game, but I'll just say that thanks to your wonderful response we still remember about Poland!

I don't disagree. A building was mentioned which was either a wonder or a Polish unique building/district iirc. But still Poland and Isabella are to be confirmed.

I wonder if there is a chance for 2 civs being revealed this week because of TGS...

From what I remember I read somewhere that someone was supposed to see Kraków Cloth Hall in the game. I guess it would be a good choice for Jadwiga as the leader.

I never forgot that mention. It was the Sukiennice and supposedly an economic building. It was disregarded at the time, but I bet it will be a part of DLC Poland. Some thought it might be a Wonder but I doubt it because we have seen all but 2 Wonders, and a cloth Merchant Wonder isn't going to be at Opera and Ballet or Natural History.

I guess Cloth Hall can give cultural bonus too - National Museum was in there and still there is a Polish Art Gallery. Maybe even some science bonus (merchandise from different parts of the Europe/World, including oriental ones, affecting the city prosperity and growth).

The difference is that we found a near-perfect match for Jadwiga's image, while no-one was able to find anything that looked like the Harald image.
