Next Fantasy War (BtS)

When I load Next Fantasy War, I find many errors that say:

What should I do?
 
Make sure you have the python popups in your CivilizationIV.ini disabled:

HidePythonExceptions = 1

You should only have this turned on if you encounter a crash. And any other python error recording disabled also.
 
ah. not sure what he did, never played the mod, just says in the description that nukes are stronger. Then again, he might just mean the explosion effect.

Oh ok, if its just the explosion, then its in the game already, thx.


EDIT: For right now, i am asking everyone to not play the Wraith civ, there is a hard crash and i cant find it with that civ, so either delete it, or make sure it never is being used, thx, and sorry.
 
I am no longer playing with the Wraith Civ in any of my games. However, the game seems to always crash in the industrial age. I have never been able to get much past the rifle tech starting from the beginning, or in this particular game more than a few techs in before it crashes. I absolutely love this mod. The civs are great. Having the bombard at a distance. Combining everything with the tech tree from ROMK. Its all great. But I'm getting frustrated with not being able to play through to the end. Any way. I attached the file just before the crash. Maybe it is something simple and you'll be able to locate it? Thanks. :(

Is there a more recent update of the mod? Maybe V008 with the BTS component? I downloaded it from the link at the first page of this thread--at filefront. Maybe I should delete the one I have and just start over with a new download? Thanks.

What i meant was when you got BtS did you patch to 3.02, and then later to 3.13? Try this out once, try moving the modular civs to another area in the MOD area of your PC and just use the standard civ units there once, and see if you have any crashes then, ok, you shouldn't?
The one you sent had the vampire civ the main cause of the crash?
 
No, I don't think I did. I just got BTS a short while ago; I think if I remember right that it went straight from the package to 3.13 with the first live update. I didn't realize that that might cause a problem. I just moved the custom civilization folder out of the modules folder; I'll try a game in the later stages tonight using only the regular civs. If that is the problem, will there be a way to add the custom civs back in later? Its really the custom civs that get me the most pumped. Thanks again for all the help and ideas, btw. You da man! :-)

You betcha, its as easy as you move them out as you move them in, same thing, ok. Just place them back in the custom civ folder, the way i play and it makes it alot faster also, is just use one Custom civ that i am going to play and keep the others out of the game, that way also makes it load 5 times faster. Of course thats just me, LOL:p
 
I took out all of the custom civs and started a game in the industrial era on quick to see if I could play through industrial and into future. It still crashed about half way through industrial. :( Here is the save file. If we can ever get it to not crash here, your idea of moving the custom module civs in and out is AWESOME. :-)

I just dowloaded this mod and put it in the bts mod folder. When I load, it takes a long time. Also it runs very slow is there something I can do to speed it up? Thx.

When I try to load the mod it's just doesn't open :nuke:

Pls read post # 1, it takes about five minutes just to load unless you take out only the civ in the Custom Civ area that you want to play ok, thx.:p
 
Thanks for the reply. Mod is great but it crashes a lot with me. Especially when trying to load a saved game. I read the post about disabling python popups but doing that does not help. Any suggestions? Thx.
