The patch will get here sooner or later. Everyone gets so excited about these patches and then they actually get it. Expectations are dashed and the complaints start. Soon we'll have a thread just like this one for the next patch. It's going to be a long process. The game is fairly good right now and will just keep getting better.
Perhaps we should all remember that it's not just about the patch, but the things we've learned together along the way - the dates of various school holidays around the world, when precisely the spring equinox is, and some fascinating insights into the Firaxis QA process
I have a sick kid ATM too. He's got some congestion from teeth I think plus he's been playing with a bunch of kids and at the MIL this weekend so he's worn out.
I always start a new game when a patch comes out. I've been like that since I can remember and Paradox has drilled it in even more.
And also have the opportunity to show that we're human beings that care for sick children, instead of being only a bunch of anxious Civ-holics (which I can't deny I am ).
If an American company says "spring", "winter" or whatever, then why would it follow anything else than the American culture/calendar? People always want to be tolerant towards everyone ELSE but the US. I'm not an American by the way - European. Some times, the most "tolerant" people can be the least tolerant in my opinion. I'm am almost 100% sure that the patch wont magically fix the game anyway, so if it's a patch in february, march, april or june... I really doubt anything dramatic changes with the game.
I would be sad if some of the obvious bugs still are in there - the UI is killing my desire to play the game. I'd rather be doing my laundry....
So, at this point, what are our predictions? The 2k_qa was only updated once today for each platform. I would say at this point it is more likely a patch will be released for tomorrow or later in the week.
Another bug that annoys me is the negative production after repairing districts. It's at least fairly easy to reproduce, though fixing it is another matter.
I know. In many ways I wish I would have never started reading this thread. Would have gone about my days and fired up an evening game with a surprise.

Yes but at least that one has a work around. I'd argue most straightforward bugs are possible to work around (but still annoying as hell) if you are fully aware of them and plan accordingly.
Better AI on the is not possible to work around, other than using 6+ mods and maxing the difficulty.. For starters, if the AI stopped suicide attacking with their near-death apostles and retreated them to heal instead, it would make religious victory more challenging and fun.

Not likely! That would be spoilers. They didn't even show the victory screen vids to the civ-famous streamers who got early releases of the game!
Well they said it was because of spoilers... There's a good chance they weren't done yet. Like the current state of the post-game charts! *Ahem*
If the DLC wasn't involved, I would agree. But they will need to implement changes to the base game to allow for the DLC, so all versions can buy it at the same time.
