10 achievements? Last time the two DLCs had 13. Are they still only on DLC03 and not DLC04?

I've been wondering about this, too. On the steam "DLC" list, they include the soundtrack, so that would mean we are up to four already, in which case this one would cost us preorderers, too.

..they could fix all the bugs and release a thing called HOTFIXES. This is 2017, not 2000.

If I may ask something offtopic:
At what time were patches or updates distributed over discs that came with magazines about gaming and such? Was it around 2000 or even earlier?
I ask because I often see people talking about it, and it sounds really nostalgic.

The best possibility, imho, would be a Persia (or Ottomans) and Mongolia pack. This is very much unlikely, but together with the Inca these are the biggest remaining hold outs (Carthage close behind). Interestingly, I can't recall a city state (please correct me if I'm wrong) from any one of these three.

Isn't Carthage a militaristic city state?

Carthage is a city-state.

Anyways, I feel like you're slightly over-valueing Carthage. I mean, they certainly weren't nothing, but their power was not that long (basically, they rose together with Rome, and then lost the wars against Rome) nor did they have a huge sphere of influence. I'd say they controlled at most a quarter of the Meditteranian at the height of their power, being more or less equal to Rome, and with Egypt and Greece independent, the Persians controlling (iirc) everything east of Greece and Egypt, and if I'm not mistaken there were also independent states west of Rome and Carthage.

The DLC numbers aren't up to four yet, so I doubt that.

Sorry, I meant no city state from Mongolia, Persia, or the Ottomans- the main three I spoke of, not Carthage. Doesn't help that I muttled the words with mention of Inca as well (who I also think is city stateless?)

What would be Mongolia's special abilities? I feel like they gave everything to the Scythians.

Ah okay, no problem. :)

I think for one possibilty they could have a nice bonus to conquest rewards. Better pillaging, more tiles on city capture, less city damage on capture, bonus science and culture on capture, etc. Maybe a UI like the one from V's 3rd and 4th unique mod?

Maybe Mongolia can send envoys to other Civs for bonuses, not just CS. And if they come back dead, they have a Cassus belli, like this...

Dont get over your heads.^^" In the end this might really only be a scenario + 1 or 2 leaders. :p
I don't have high expectations, but I am a dreamer- if we got even one of the four main holdouts I'd be ecstatic (though I expects them to be expansion civs, mostly). I only postulated on Mongolia at the inquiry of another. I will likely be satisfied with whatever new content they come out with.

Mongolia... Well, they weren't only horse-riders who conquered, they actually created the biggest empire the world has ever seen. At it's height, the Mongolian Empire controlled more land than Rome, Alexander the Great, Imperial England or anyone else. On top of that, Genghis Khan introduced promotion on merit (you became a general because you were capable, not because you were nobility), religious freedom, etc, and on top of that he also united the warring Mongol tribes because he did things differently than others (I don't remember exactly what was common for the tribes after winning a war, but Genghis doing it differently is what made him able to unite them). Surely there's stuff in there somewhere. And besides, they should probably spike in the medieval era while Scythia spikes in the ancient/early classical era.

They didn't create ****, they conquered... the peoples they conquered created lots of good stuff though.

The end of the workday at Firaxis. There was one change to a depot* just now, but no QA build updates.

I'm still not certain how quickly this is coming. The 2K qa builds have updated more recently than the Mac/Linux QA builds. I usually assume that the PC build leads the others and they have to be brought up to its level and tested before something is released. But I could be wrong.

Also, the DLC03 depot still hasn't been connected to the Deluxe Edition package.

But still, I am getting excited.

*a redist depot. According to my quick googling, this is a thing that facilitates patching software.

And the SDK was updated too.

I could be wrong, but didnt just an unknown DLC became visible in the DLC tab there? I'm pretty sure there were only 8 earlier and it also appears when you click on the Last Change Number.

Darn... Got a DL in Steam, but only 16,1MB?? A glitch in the matrix? :D
Had Steam open all day, so weird timing of an verify files integrity?
Edit: When I think of it, I did change the intro video. So that wasn't "vanilla"

But I didn't check Steam files, the game notified me of the DL...

There have been 9 for a few weeks. The SDK updated on that list.
