Next patch anticipation thread

The Mac and Linux qa builds updated again for the second time today... that's interesting. The scope of the changes is larger than this morning and on par with the 2K qa build update from earlier this afternoon.

I would say this slightly increases the chance of having the patch/DLC tomorrow.

Having DLC and a patch to enjoy over the weekend would be fantastic.

this is also updated 13 mins

this is very strange

Goddamnit, I was just going to say 'Screw it!' and start a new game anyway (expecting the patch to be next week earliest), but now... D:

I am in the same boat here, I can't decide if I should go ahead and start a new game or continue waiting for the patch.

But don't forget this will probably happen whenever words are whispered about the next patch. :p

That's true, but there aren't so many patches for Civ, and the next one will probably the Summer Update. :(
Anyway all of us should gather here again when the time comes!

Btw, isnt it weird, that the last qa change was much later than usual? (40 mins ago)
The whole day is weird. The 2Kqa update was early, and the Mac/Linux ones happened twice.

I'd say you two should wait, so you can enjoy the anticipation and won't be frustrated when you have to restart your game once the patch is out!
(also that's the same what I am doing, so don't you dare having fun playing the game while I am waiting here :D )

Alright, Alright :P

I have a civ5 game going currently that I started last week so I will do that in the mean time, Songhai and I are about to rock and roll I think.

I use this time to try mod that seems totally unbalanced. I know I won't finish a game with those anyway, but I can give feedback haha.

I feel like ancient civilizations are pretty well represented in this game already at the moment, with Scythia, Sumeria and Egypt on 20 total. The only one that might be worth adding to that would, imo, be Persia, and they're partial classical era too. (Egypt too, but they were never a powerhouse in those times, while Persia was).

There are only 3 ancient Civs Greek, Sumeria and Egypt but a lot of medieval Civs. The game starts 4000 BC but all other Civs in game except this three enter the world stage at the earliest 300 BC or so.

- > There is a very small chance for the Minoans within the next DLC.

The Netherlands? Now that would be awesome. I expect having to wait for an expansion until I can play them, but earlier would certainly be better. (as I'm Dutch myself)

I hope the next patch will give the possibility to rename leaders and Civs again.
So everyone could play with that country and with that name he want´s to play the game. I always love this feature in the last parts of the game series. Just choose the Civ you want to play and not what the programmers tell you to play!

I strongly suspect an Asian Civ because Asia is very empty at this point. Korea is a huge market and Mongolia is everybodys darling. They can´t do anything wrong and will earn a lot of praise if they bring the Mongol invasion of Civ6.

A weekend patch would be fantastic.. Especially over the long US holiday weekend. For me it's either gonna be 3 straight days of Unpatched and heavily modded Civ6 time, OR 3 straight days of PATCHED civ time (with hopefully a better AI. 4 days if you count Friday night :))
