Have you considered them putting stuff in the game files to confuse us (Or, stuff in there not making it in the end anyways)? ^^" After all, there hasnt been a sign yet of the Genoese stuff that was also supposed to be there. And they know that there are people looking.
Oh sure, when they make a game you can count on a ton of stuff being there with no rhyme or reason. They do clean it up sometimes to make it easier on them but yes there is some stuff.

I think it could be a good idea to check again, after this coming patch has been applied. ^^ (Also, I think it's really weird that Persia, Macedonia and Australia have been discovered just now and not when the last patch was applied, given, there was something of Persia right after release, if I remember correctly?)
Actually, I was just thinking this morning that perhaps they want to only release completely new civs as the DLC that is included in the deluxe edition, then once we get to the inevitable DLC5 and beyond they will do a bundled group of maybe two or three alternate leaders to the existing base game civs. They might even try taking a page out of Paradox's book and using their method of releasing sort of 'mini-expansions' that are bigger than the one civ DLCs we've seen so far, but only focus on expanding a single aspect of the game rather than adding new systems like the expansion packs we've seen in the past? It would be a way for them to keep up a steady stream of new content like they seem to want to do without falling victim to more suggestions that they're just aiming for a cash-grab.
I wondered if they would be concerned releasing Persia as DLC since they are considered one of the "core" civilizations but then I remembered that in CIV5 the Mongols were a DLC or pre-order bonus of some kind?

The file that the list is in has been last updated somewhere in 2016 - I don't know the exact date (I got a new laptop late December, so all files are created and last modified the 28th), but it was certainly months before Australia (which was included) was added. Maybe someone who didn't get a new PC or anything can check when the .txt file on their pc last got updated? Because I think it's going to be the 30-day patch, as they fixed a bug with always the Ancient Era audio always playing, even if you weren't in the Ancient Era anymore. That would mean that it'd also be from before the Poland DLC.

I am pretty sure I saw this this when I was going to start molding and was confused at the inclusion of Poland, Oz, Persian and Macedonia and initially passed it off localisation or something. It never occurred to me that it was possible DLC at the time. But otherwise it's been in there since before the first patch I am sure. Need to check though.
Oh my gosh! What if Persia and Macedonia actually come with this DLC! After all, they didnt deny that possibility! (I'm dreaming, I know... the scenario could only have 4 achievements at max in that case, for one)
