A question about the panthers and football in general I've been wondering, and that i've heard different things about: Will adding Keyshawn and a better running game improve Smiths numbers, or make them worse? If you look at Arizona, two recievers with over 100 receptions, but they had no running game, and keyshawn is no larry fitzgerald. but neither is anquan boldin a steve smith.

Almost have to go down, only so may plays per game, to spead it around takes plays from him.

bengals have a tough schedule. Playing the panthers, the steelers twice, and the ravens twice. They also play many other playoff teams i can't think of off the top of my head.

We also play New England, KC, Denver and Indy. We, along with the NY football Giants, have the hardest shedule in the league.

Not worried at all about the Ravens though. They stink.

Return of jamal, lewis, and signing of McNair will improve their team a little.

Something interesting popped into my head, trying to guess the pro bowl teams for next year. I'll take a crack at it.

Don't buy it. Jamal Lewis was there last year...and was just a bad running back. The Ravens have been trying to trade him for over a year. Ray Lewis is getting old. McNair is also old, and is held together by duct tape. Other than McNair, B' More has no real option at QB, and will have a punchless offense again. Their D isnt good enough to carry them in a very tough division. I dont think they win more than 7 games.

Lewis came into camp out of prison seriously overweight--see if being in shape makes a differance. At QB, Boller played VERY well the last @4-5 games and still maybe their QB as Mcnair is a hit away from the injuried list as always.

I think you are forgetting about T.O. He gave your whole team a headache.

Stop taking the media's word for it. The Dallas fans know nothing happened. Even Madden agrees. How come players with the same injury have not received scrutiny, when they were out for longer?

Stop trying to sugarcoat it. He screwed with the 49er's, he screwed wit the Eagles, why wouldn't he screw with the Cowboys? He isnt going to change. If he hasn't given the team a headache yet, I guarantee that he will eventually.

I'm not. Where have you seen anything that he has done to the Cowboys? Nothing. You took the media's word for it (who weren't even at the camp). I'm sick of these baseless accusations. I don't even like T.O., but something baseless is something baseless.

I know TO is not an angel (and I got that, because he used to live in the next town over not the media) and I protested the Cowboys signing him, but you are just assuming too much. Even if TO didn't mind ruining his last shot, you can bet Parcells and Bledsoe wouldn't take his stuff sitting down.

Zero points too? That's rough, but not a reason to worry.

Zero points by the First-Team Offense. And TO ain't gonna screw up with the Cowboys if he ever wants a job again.

My completely unsubstantiated rumour: Ron Dayne gets picked up by Pittsburgh or the Jets. Unsubstantiated because I just made it up, but I can see Pittsburgh wanting a vaguely Bettis-like replacement, and Jets just need anyone who vaguely resembles a running back.

Follow my lead:

The Dallas Cowboys cut 15 players.

Notable cuts: R. Petitti (OL), R. Boiman (LB), S. Green (WR), M. Stanley (DL), T. Copper (WR)

Current Roster
QB- Bledsoe, Romo
HB- Jones, Barber, Thompson
FB- Polite
WR- Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Hurd, Rector, Austin (surprised)
TE- Witten, Fasano, Hannam
OT- Adams, Colombo, Fabini, McQuistan
OG- Rivera, Kosier, Proctor
C- Gurode, Johnson
DE- Canty, Spears, Ratliff, Hatcher, Coleman
DT- Ferguson, Johnson
LB- Ware, Ellis, James, Ayodele, Carpenter, Burnett, Singleton, Fowler, Hoyte (surprised)
CB- Newman (duh), Henry, Glenn, Reeves, Jones
S- Williams, Watkins, Davis, Elam
K-Vanderjagt, Suisham
P-McBriar
LS- Ladouceur (This year's MVP Mark it! :p)

Marcus Coleman is suspended, and he doesn't count against the cap.

other notable cuts:

Miami--Marcus Vick
Houston--Antowain Smith
Cleveland--Lee Suggs
Seattle--Peter Warrick
Green Bay--Najah Davenport, Rod Gardner
St. Louis--Moe Williams
Minnesota--Mike Mcmahon
Philidelphia--Jabar Gaffney
Oakland--Duane Starks, Jeff George
.............and Rod Smart---------------HE Hate Me :)

Well eventually...might be next year after the Cowboys have won the Superbowl. Seriously, Jerry Jones knows what he is doing in this situation. He set up the contract with the money TO wanted, but with clauses that would make him lose a good deal of that money if TO pulled anything.

If we have to drop him, we will and we can. I'm not worried until the second year, since Glenn & Owens will be well over 30 by then. My biggest concern this year is the kicking of Vanderchoke :p

About the cuts...I am really surprised we cut Pettiti. We needed him at least for some depth, Colombo's problem has been staying healthy. Fabini reportedly has not looked good, and McQuistan is basically a low-round draft pick with some potential (like..ahem...Pettiti).

The rest do not bother me so much. Skyler Green did not have as good a preseason as Rector or Hurd, and he was not spectacular returning kicks. Terrance Copper was a nice player, but same story as Green. Boiman surprises me a little bit, but it also means Carpenter impressed more. I want to see our first rounder darnit! Montavius Stanley did not seperate himself from our other 7 DLinemen, so he gone.

Baker will probably be on the practice squad, incase we need a third quaterback (he will never see playing time though..we will take another FA quaterback and bring him in to be the third string).

@Zarn, are you sure Ratliff wasn't cut? I vaguely remember seeing he was cut, but I hope your right.

Another set of surprise cuts:

Danny Clark, MLB - Raiders
Casey Printers, QB - Chiefs
Junior Siavii, DT - Chiefs
Fred Beasley, FB - Dolphins
Darius Watts, WR - Broncos
Dan Klecko, DL - Patriots
Randy Hymes, WR - Jaguars
Jamaal Fudge, S - Jaguars
Keith Adams, LB - Panthers
Tyrone Calico, WR - Titans

More later...going through every teams list of cuts is tiring :p Especially since I can't find a single list somewhere.

Oh, and I'm guessing everyone heard of the Mark Simoneau for Donte Stallworth trade? Stallworth is also the number 1 in Philly too, which I think is a mistake (the trade isn't, the depth chart position is).

Not only do we have Ratliff, we actually have him as a DT backup as well. I remember having to put him in Madden. Stupid game.

Vanderjagt: Snapper and holder issue. He did not have enough practice with the team.

Fabini- Usually has poor preseasons
McQuistan- Actually more talented and promising than Petitti
Colombo- Actually looked like a 1st round draft pick in the preaseason

They have a combined list at the Cowboys forum that you never joined. ;)

I forgot to join it...I think I registered, but forgot about it...probably better than the board Scout.com runs, so I'll check it out again :p
