NFL Playoffs

I'm not even a Bronco fan, and I had to Tebow after the game. After, of course, I talked some smack to a couple of annoying Steeler fans I know. Now if only the Broncos could win next week. There are a few Pats fans who need to be taken down a peg...

But if they win, us Pats fans won't really go up any pegs, because we beat them

41-23

in the regular season.

Mmhmm.

Let's not forget, the Broncos could have probably won in regulation if the referees hadn't botched the fumble call on the Steelers' 20.

Guys, I don't think the Steelers got the memo about how to stop Tebow.

Actually, they did. What they didn't do was deal well (for whatever reason) with
the fact the Tebow was in fact beating them with his arm.

And without Eric Decker too! That's pretty amazing.

If Decker is out next week though, they have to be screwed...right?

Oh god, Tebus threw for 316 yards. The owner of the Broncos is John Elway.

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

And 316 yards of course averages 31.6 yards per completed pass. :mischief:

But if you wanted an omen ahead of time that things were going to be special in this game, just look at Matt Prater's kickoff at the start of the 1st quarter, which flew through the end zone, hit the crossbar, bounced back and settled EXACTLY on the 20 yard line ready for after the touchback. :crazyeye:

That's it, I'm converting.

I'll leave that particular god to Tebow. :)

It's kind of head-scratching how unable (unwilling?) Pittsburgh was to change up their defense and actually start defending the pass, once Tebow established that he could actually take what they would give him.

For all their sores, e.g., one of the worst defenses in the league, the Patriots are very good at adapting and improving in the second half. (To the point of it being a little maddening watching them suck in the first half and then magically turn it on in the second.) In fact in that regular season game vs. Denver, Denver looked pretty good at the beginning, basically dominating the Patriots and making their run defense look inept in the first quarter. But then the Pats put the hammer down later thanks to a few costly turnovers. I don't think the Pats will repeat the stomping the second time around but I am also confident the Pats will not suffer the same pig headedness (that's really the best way I can put it) of the Steeler's coaching staff in refusing to adapt their schemes to match whichever Tebow shows up Sunday. However I also don't think the Pats have the personnel to put up a great defensive showing so ultimately the deciding factor is whether the Broncos D can stop Brady--which seems to be every team's question this year if dealing with the Pats.

Also Pats hired Josh McDaniels back, he should help save some time dealing in depth with the Denver scouting report...

Okay, dream Super Bowl: Tim Tebow and the Broncos take on the Alex Smith and the 49ers. :goodjob:

No. The dream Super Bowl is the Harbaugh Bowl, Round 2.

so ultimately the deciding factor is whether the Broncos D can stop Brady--which seems to be every team's question this year if dealing with the Pats.

The Broncos have gotten this far based on their defense. What's one more game?
