I was being somewhat facetious: The quote I posted was said by the main charachter of Shadow Warrior an old FPS/First Person Hack 'n' slash game made by 3d Realms, which is incredibly funny, and pokes fun at all ninja/martial-arts/action game related icons.

Like embryodead said, my initial reaction to a ninja winning the unit request tournament was, "crap, there's already a ninja in PTW", but yours definitely outclasses the PTW ninja. It makes me wish that I could incorporate this into my mod. Excellent work, and beautiful unit.

When this won the unit tournie I initially thought we didn't need another ninja unit since the one from Firaxis was good enough. However, you've blown that all away and created a great and unique unit. I should never really have doubted it from you

Hey, I'm glad you all are pleased with the way the ninja turned out. Like many of you, I too was a little skeptical at first about creating a ninja. I had forgotten about the PTW ninja, so that wasn't a problem; ninjas are just not my cup of tea. This was actually the last unit request to make the tournament—simply to make the field even. As random chance would have it, the request won. I have to admit, though, I enjoyed modeling the unit, and I'm happy with the way it looks. Animating it was a bit of a challenge, but I was able to try some new techniques and make some unique animations. All in all, I'm really pleased with the way the unit turned out.

Now, I just have to wait to hear what Gen. Rommel, the requester, thinks.

Wow, I just saw the finished unit for the first time! I must say, he is truly better than I could have imagined him in my mind. A very sincere thank you utah for taking the time to fulfill my request and help me get one step closer to finishing my Sengoku mod. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be using him (time to replace that clumsy Arabic assassin with a true warrior of the silent arts).
