Noob(ish) Vassal Question

Just curious, I accidently hit yes when Catherine asked to me vassal (I'm Elizabeth playing on the Earth 18 Civs map). now, I've wiped out Germany, France, Rome, and shortly Greece, so the only people blocking me and the Mongols is Russia.

So, what I want to do is stop Catherine being my vassal and wipe her out (nasty I know! )

Is this possible? I hate having vassals unless I make the catipulate, and then I feel like a big man!!

I think it is. Why don't you piss her off by making demands. Save the game and try declaring war on her. If it works but you wanted to wait till later then load the saved game.

Why not just sign an Open Borders agreement and travel through her lands? I don't understand your problem frankly.

Actually the master can enter the vassal's territory freely, with or without an OB agreement (but not vice versa).

my main issue is that I don't want that annoying 'City X wants to join the Russian Empire' that keeps popping up on nearly every new city i take or put near her borders. plus, i wasn't going to have any vassals other than those I catipulate.

Plus, while I was at war with Athens she took a city I really wanted, it border Cyrus and I was going to kill him while attacking the Mongols.

Oh well, guess I'm stuck with her, now she's in Africa too, took one of the Egyptian cities I had weakened with my canons preparing for my own attack!
