Do we just move freely between locations, or, for example, would someone in the communications room giving orders to move to the catalogue room have to move through the entryway, corridor and antechamber (with potential encounters) to get there?

Players are free to move to whatever room they wish -- ie, they can travel from one side of the zone to the other as one action -- but they will only discover the items or information in their target room, not the other rooms they pass through. Combat on the other hand, can be encountered in any room traversed.

In lynch tallies, does no lynch count as a selection in terms of the vote threshold? For example, in this situation:

Player 1 - 8 votes
No Lynch - 5 votes
Player 2 - 3 votes

Would Player 1 be lynched?

"No Lynch" counts as a player lynch for these purposes, so the person would not be lynched.
