Everything went well by the way guys. I'm on my phone at the moment but I should be back regularly tomorrow

Chapter ??

You keep your eyes tightly shut as you lift the corpse's shoulders. The mercenary opposite you, carrying the feet, leads the way. Both of you are silent.

It's not the corpse that bothers you. Really, you've seen hundreds of corpses. You've caused dozens of them. But, at the same time, this was different.

This was...dirtier.

It wasn't a physical uncleanliness. No, you've bathed in blood and gore before; now, that sort of thing doesn't cause so much as a tick of hesitation from you. Instead, it's a mental dirtiness, a spiritual one.

The fate of these corpses wasn't alleviating that pressure, either.

Corpses? You are constantly referring to them as carcasses. Inanimate objects. Technically, they are. You think about it for a little longer before realizing the true reason why: because, if you can forget their past and current fate, then the guilt won't linger as long.

This circuitous thought process makes the minutes pass by quickly. You forget all about your stealthy march down the site's halls, lugging this decomposing cargo as quietly as possible. You`ve arrived at your destination, and you mentally curse out in anger because of it.

"OK," the other operative mutters. "On the count of three."

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

With all your strength, you heave the corpse forward. You hear it crash with a sickening crunch against the opposite wall before it bounces back into the pit, tumbling between the rock formations before ultimately landing at its' final resting place.

You imagine what it must be like down there...

You shut your eyes tightly -- almost painfully tightly -- to get that mental image out of your head.

Night 09

Night fell quickly and silently.

Each mercenary went on his way, silently predicting what must be next. There was gunfire during the Night -- when was there ever not? -- but it was much more sporadic tonight. Much more vicious. Much more...desperate.

All the same, day came once again, as it always does -- but many wish it hadn't come at all.

Verarde passed away! ...

For the first time in days, an operative fails to awaken. The mercenaries gather around his corpse, shaking their heads softly. Yet -- wait a minute! -- there was something off here.

His bag is bulkier. There's something inside.

The bag is opened -- hesitantly -- but, dear god, there they are!

Relic #2 and #4 have been found!

Spoiler :
... He was the OPFOR Fortune Hunter!

The excitement was short-lived. Procedure took precedent, and role call was initiated; yet, one operative didn't respond.

The manhunt was on; everyone feared the worst. They moved as a squad, securing one room after the next. They had to find their missing teammate...

...and find him they did. Well, half of him. In the hallway.

They followed the blood trail to the other half, festering in the Entryway. The early morning sunlight shone through the stairway and lit his body.

Jarrema was mauled!

Spoiler :
He was the BLUFOR Commando!

I would like the relics however I understand if people don't want all of them in one place. Also haven't all 5 been found? If that is the case then we need to be careful. If someone else can translate them i say we give it to them but I ask them to pm me their translation results

I didn't see a location vote from Jarrema for yesterday, anybody who was at the tomb able to shed any light on what happened? Four of us were at the lake, and NinjaCow got a safe key. No attack or anything.

*dead salute*

Thought you weren't keeping up with the thread?

Dave was on target with me lurking. Hats off to you. Unfortunately, I don't even know how I died.

Dreadnought said:
You spend much of the Night translating the runes in the Room. They tell a story of magic and mysticism. They warn of the Soul Eater -- Spiritus Raptor -- and his spellcraft. "If he can speak, he can cast a spell on you."

The glyphs warn to never open the coffin. If one does, they will forever fall under the influence of the Spiritus Raptor.

The final section of glyphs detail Spiritus Raptor's apparent "army" of vile creatures, which take the shapes of animals. They hunt down humans and stalk them until the time is right, at which point they feast on their flesh. When killed, they turn to ash.

You also translate Relic #2 and Relic #4: "The Second Stage: Domination" and "The Fourth Stage: Despair", respectively.
That was what my translations were. My guess is the coffin is somewhere in here or it is the relics and the OPFOUR objective is to open it and release Spiritus-Raptor but that's just a guess
