NOTW XXI: A Return to Foxford

okay then, maybe i was wrong...

The wandering monk kept to the back of the crowd. Clearly this was not a good time to be a stranger in town. Thankfully it seemed obvious which stranger was guilty, so maybe there was no reason to worry. He took a deep breath and started to speak.

That, friends, are the marks of a werewolf. Do you remember your history? The Baron cursed your village once, and now he has cursed you again. And I fear this time he may succeed, that there will be no survivors...

I find the silence of the Bard BananaLee is suspicious as usually he is very verbose! I say we have him come before the town and defend his innocence!

I wouldn't mind hearing something from the Apprentice Chandrasekhar, whom I believe is hiding in his master's shadow. And who is this master anyway one might ask?

Certainly, if I had a master, now would be the time to hide in his shadow, but alas, he is no longer with us, and so I live the contradictory existence of an apprentice without a master. I had thought to hide in plain sight instead, but since I have been called upon, I shall break my silence.

To save myself in this day of sparse voting, it appears that I must vote for Bard BananaLee to be executed, though I dislike the lack of evidence.

Very well, apprentice, you are not as hiding as would first seem. I then instead cast my vote on the Innkeeper, sirtommygunn, who harbored the stranger last night, and who also does not want to be seen or heard.

Sorry if I havn't been that social lately, but if I dont have anything to contribute I don't see why I should. I'll vote for the bard, I'll change it if he speaks up though.

I must chime in, the Bard has been really quiet. For a man with nothing to do but make use of his voice. His lack of a voice bears attention.

OOC: The bard has been busy with his essays and waiting for front page to be updated

The Bard awakens to hear the commotion that goes on around
Pray tell how it is possible for me to kill Sonya? If silence is a mark of guilt, certainly many others would've been just as "guilty" as I?
Brisingamen, D'artagnan59, Tyrs, just to mention a few. Why should I be singled out?

Adrogans, you are but a midwife. Know your place, woman!

For she who knoweth not her place,
Is naught but a knave, the most base.
Thou, Adrogans started the accusation
Wherefore? Doth thee fear your own execution?

Upon hearing all of the quarrels, Sparrow felt quite out of place.

Well you have answered! You are more likely to travel and thus contract the curse! But now that you have defended yourself I agree the continued silence of the others remains suspect.

Who would you say of the ones remaining quiet is the most likely cursed?

OOC: That's why we all hate being the first to accuse, but no one else would do it :(

Not much voting today, is there? Well, I suppose I'd try to lay low too if my name hadn't been called out, but now that I have a vote on the table, and I don't seem to be in danger of execution, I might as well make it an interesting one. sirtommygunn, nothing personal, but I dislike even small-scale bandwagons, so I try to dismantle them where possible.

The Hermit sits silently on the stone steps, in deep thought. He wonders why people are so ready to excecute other villagers with no evidence against them. Wouldn't this only make it easier for the werewolves? Don't we need every man we have? Surely the person that suggested or is leading the excecution is an agent of evil. He opens his eyes and says one word:

''Adrogans''

Sorry if I havn't been that social lately, but if I dont have anything to contribute I don't see why I should. I'll vote for the bard, I'll change it if he speaks up though.

"We have all enjoyed living in the relative safety of the Elohim nation whilst the world burns around us - but now I wonder why we value such peace at all? If it does not allow a spirit of community, of family - what value does it have? At a time such as this - it is every man's duty to contribute to the common good. We all depend on each other, more so now than ever."

He turned away, suddenly no longer sure of the words he had spoken so many times to deaf ears. Did he truly believe them anymore?

"Maybe it is too late now anyway... Maybe the darkness has spread to Foxford and it is merely our time to pass... Maybe Sirona has finally forsaken this land as well. Sonya is gone now, there is naught can be said that will change that

If you cannot or will not account for yourself SirTommyGunn, then to Agares with you."

Ah, well spoken Vehem. I however, think that the monk, Niklas seems the must suspicious. Just because people are quiet doesn't make them automatically guilty. In fact, I'd bet my bottom dollar that the werewolf could easily be one of more vocal villagers.

I will agree with the father of the poor murdered girl as he woudl likely know who could get into his home. sirtommygunn be on you it is.

I like to be practical about things, but this voting business is strange.
Already one of us is likely doomed for no reason.
I shall not be the one to send an innocent to the gallows so I'll randomly vote for the trader, so as not to be accused later of keeping quiet.

I have no clue so {rolls dice}. Hmm. Innkeeper. That was a bit unexpected given the bandwagon. Hey-ho, the fates have spoken I guess.
