NotW XXX: Dark Radiance Game Thread

The First Private is shaking heavily, biting her lower lip nerveously. She is obviously very close to a complete mental breakdown. She is mumbling to herself, "First him... and now us! Me! They're going to get to me too!"

Her eyes open up wide in panic, but she soon comes under control again. She raises her voice.
"All right, everyone, we need to figure out who did this, and we need to find out fast. We need to be organized to root out this internal threat before it devours us all.

I think it is safe to assume that those who seek our deaths are well-armed. As such, we need to find out who have weapons. I suggest that everyone who is in possession of a weapon report to me immidately and show me your weapons to see for myself. Coorporating like this will not necessarily make you either guilty or innocent, but it would give us a decent overview of who are capable of proper combat, and we need to narrow down the number of suspects. This is one way of doing so."

She looks around, suddenly realizing the naïvity of her demand. "Of course, none of you can even be sure of my innocence... But we have to do something. And since Frozen seems to be injured, I will gladly assume the position of leading organizer of our defense against this threat. If everyone coorporates, we will find the villains before it is too late!"

The surge of energy that has taken hold of her suddenly seeps out of her again and she lulls back into a state of almost complete apathy. In an attempt to raise the morale of the troop, she goes back to her chamber and finds her violin and begins playing for them all

(OOC: Yes, Frozen, that was an order)

The Commander said he would ask many of us to return our weapons to the armory to conserve ammo. That many would not be all.

The Rifleman looks worried. Very worried indeed.

Okay, so some guy is dead, we're under attack, and both food and ammo seem to be running low. That lot, I can handle.

But can someone please put my mind at rest: do we still have enough beer and smokes to last until the next supply train? If I have to go cold turkey out here, I might turn all Jack Torrance on you. And, as I think you'll agree, we can do without any more homicidal crazies running about the place.

Noticing the 1st Private, his manner changes from boorishly loud to boorishly flirty.

Hey there, sexy. I love a woman in uniform. Care to take a closer look at my weapon?

With that, he begins to lower his trousers in an exagerated manner, leading to groans of disapproval from the assembled soldiers, who have seen this routine all too many times.

"Ohh, I would like some food. I always eat when I'm sad. The worst was when cousin Larry choked to death at that buffet, oh it was horrible" *The Biologist shakes herself visibly* "This just won't do. My experiments will have to wait. With a murderer on the loose its far to dangerous to continue."

The pilot facepalms at the rifleman's sudden elation.

He shudders as he suddenly remembers the body of raw recruit Benson and asks "By the way does anyone know WHAT weapon the killer used to kill the recruit?"

To answer the questions about Commander Frozen, he is like a normal character, you can use abilities on him, etc.

And why should only you get to see all the people that has weapons? Like you said, we don't know if you're innocent.

Someone has to, and I am a most trustworthy individual. You all know that the reason I joined this troop was because our enemies killed my husband and true love. What reason would I have to betray my country and his memory? It's that simple. Someone has to, and I am volounteering. This will most likely be the death of me sooner rather than later, if our concealed enemy can think clearly, and therefore you should not hesitate to speak personally with me right away (PM me). That goes for anyone who has a weapon or can be of use in another way.

Mama Mia! I'm just-a a freakin' chef, I don't even have-a a butcher knife, which you would think I would-a have-a.

But that's okay, I can still make-a for you a pizza pie.

*3rd Private Tanya (Yes Tanya.) takes a look at the rifleman*

"Looks like one of the grub worms got out of the jar."

OOC: Nobody caught the little joke in my last post? :(

umm Nictel, does that meanwe have Goa-uld infestation? :p

Edit: And Tanya? XD

The disturbance was enough to get the ex-commander out of his sick bed. He wrapped up warm and shuffled around the base inspecting things here and there. He had a quiet word with Frozen and saw that things were under control and the appropriate actions had been put in place. Comforted, he returned to his sick bed. On the way he walked past the sharpshooter and coughed on him deliberately.
“I may not be in charge at the moment but as your former commander I have eyes and ears everywhere. You so much as breathe the wrong way and I will get you locked up in detention.”
The ex-commander shuffled onwards a bit more then turned back and faced the sharpshooter once more.
“I know you have an eye for detail but perhaps only a bullet can penetrate that thick skull. I have been sick for a couple of months. If it was contagious the whole base would be sick by now.”
Rumour has it that the ex-commander can kill a person just by looking at him. It always pleased him to outstare anyone and see that little shade of fear in a person’s eyes. Something made very difficult to do now because of his sickness so he just shuffled on back to his bed instead.
