I believe it is a play on his rolename as wise councilor. Like I, in an educated fashion, point out my education in every other post I makeI don't know if this is hilariously understated, or the strange sort of half-hearted support for a bandwagon one might expect from a scumbag, but in either case, I find it very chuckle-worthy.

I'm retaking in August to get a better score too
)So, I got my SAT results today... 720/720/700 (reading/math/writing) for a total of 2140. Which wiki says is 98th percentile

Though, really, I am concerned - there's at least one group of elves and obviously some other conspirator has all the gold/items since Winston didn't...interesting
Also congratulations CCRunner - very nice work. Friend of mine ending up taking the SATs seven times and his aggregate best scores only got to around that...but great to hear for you. Also, the SAT is still less lame than the ACT, so that's a plus.

The quiet councilor stands up for his nightly walk around the group. Tonight he is beaming, the arrow wound does not seem to bother him any more and his long time enemy the stealthy councilor Sprig looks doomed. He goes over to the table and if anything his smile widens, the amulet appeals to him. He shakes his bulging moneybag as he considers how he is going to get it.

NotW XXXI: Night Four
It was a gruesome scene. As the councilors reconvened after their midnight break, it was obvious that the same killer who had done in the Dreamwatcher had finally struck again. A bloody red pentagram was painted perfectly across the circular voting table, and in the middle J65 lay, a perfect pentagram carved into his torso. Blood had leaked everywhere, and his eyes showed the same signs as before, with a single tear of blood leaking from each, eyes staring straight up.
There was, however, one thing that was very apparent now that the councilor was unmasked and de-hooded...
On his body, after a quick search, was found a Dark Veil and 26 gold. They would be voted upon immediately.
Niklas, in addition, had apparently been stuck again by his terrible affliction and lay leaning against the wall, smears of blood obviously evident behind him. He wobbled a bit, and fell over once again, but managed to crawl to his feet with some effort, despite his skin rupturing from thin air. Niklas is now injured.
In addition, one of the council's archaeological digs had unearthed a Ancient Pendant. It would be put up for auction.

It's now clear where j65 got much of his riches and backing...
I admit to being taken in by the handouts of gold by j65 earlier, clearly he and his vampire cabal must have arranged him to be so wealthy. Can't say I'm not glad to see a vampire has been struck down. But I'd like to point out to the Councilors that the greaves we'd voted on earlier were missing, which means another vampire is even better protected; and lastly, even if I was skeptical before I am now troubled by obvious signs of the Veil, the Octopus Cult is gone and there's no other to account for this.
Diamondeye can have some gold since I want the Amulet more than the Pendant right now and could use support.
