Same thing in Latvian - "Firstday etc. until Sixthday. And "Saintday" (historical church/free of work day and stuff) at the end as Sunday.
Also - yesterday it was true blizzard conditions here (not really that much snow, maybe 10-12 extra cm so around 35 cm in total) but everything was blowing around, creating up to 1 m high "stacks" at some places, including roads (few trapped cars seen around, roads exists as "one driven path" (in rural areas it takes 1-2 extra days to get clean roads). And now going to have 2 chill nights (-13..15C). Followed up by another snow cloud. Followed by short meltdown (maybe +4C). Followed up by another cold breeze (-7C again). And maybe around 20th or something March it might turn into full spring (probably +5 to maaybe +10C) mode finally. On local level it is just muddy time of year (until it dries up a bit after melting) but that could create some serious issues with spring floods (from melting snow and ice in large area that all rushes down) for some places (some 40 km from where I live) next to our biggest river (Daugava) that already experienced flooding in January (bunch of ice is still left near river so can easily trap water there).
It feels like now that spring is here the weather has gone crazy. Friday it was cloudy and in the low 80s, the next day it was completely clear and in the 40s and 50s, and now on Sunday it's back up in the 70s. The weather each day is radically different.
Temperatures are civilized here; spring breakup has finally happened, though there's still quite a bit of snow lying around. People are being warned to stay away from the river and creeks in case of debris or flooding or plugged up storm drains that cause very large puddles in the middle of the street.
I wouldn't want to be out east; they've had an ice storm.
Slightly higher what we have here. Somewhat odd warm(ish) winter. One of the interesting things were that the coldest days were in the last week of March which is record-breaking late in much of the country.
Two weeks ago the winter decided not to start its summer vacation after all so things are a bit dualistic right now as on the part of my yard which has most of the sun the grass is soon ready for clipping while the shady parts could use some ice chopping activities instead.
