Oh, the weather outside is...

Welcome tp global warming!
Climate change. Not all changes result in warmer temperatures. And I'll gently remind people that I mentioned in the OP that I'd prefer that this thread NOT get into climate change arguments, since there is already a thread for that.

After a pleasant fall spell, we're back in the eighties. Not unusual, but I enjoyed a taste of autumn while it lasted. Means I can stick to shorts and sandals a bit longer, I suppose. Our state's leading meteorlogist is predicting a warm & dry winter.

At 22.3 C, Wednesday's high temperature breaks 74-year-old weather record

Halloween expected to be warm but wet by trick-or-treating time

Between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the temperature at the Region of Waterloo International Airport hit 22.3 C.

That surpassed the previous record for Oct. 30, which was 22.2 C set in 1950.

The warm temperatures are part of a three-day trend in the region, says Geoff Coulson, a warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment Canada.

Hmm… I will be around the Waterloo region in near a month’s time… (staying in Guelph) I imagine it will be a bit chillier in December.

It snowed last night. Most of it's gone again. Unless a snowstorm comes in the next few hours, it'll be a dry Halloween, though not a very comfortable one.

I think we've finally got the winter snow that's staying.

And to think that one year at this time, it was so warm that I could walk to the Nature Centre after dark, wearing just my jean jacket, no sweater, no extra layers over my t-shirt, ordinary shoes and socks, stay out for over an hour in the sanctuary, and be perfectly comfortable.

Cloudy and sprinkling, but doesn't seem to be deterring people from the polls.

It's been absolutely pouring here on and off all day, which I choose to interpret as a sign that Lono, the Hawaiian God of Rain and Peace and some other stuff, is displeased at the election results

It's fire season and its a bit disconcerting. Santa Ana winds equal increased chance of brush fires and the winds compound the problems.

11am hit 26 degrees centigrade then dropped down to 18. 1pm and it's raining.

The rain has also arrived here, though it’s spotty as always.

Earlier in the day it was quite warm and I went and mowed a friend’s lawn. Needed the time out to do something mindless.
