All this talk of a 'Nuclear Age' mystifies Caesar and the Senate. However, one crazy old fool at the forum proclaims to all who will listen that Thebes may be in range from a Siamese city near the Grand Mesa--if not for a direct hit, certainly the blast radius. (Is the advanced missile's range 10, or 12? If 12, it could be hit directly.)
These events seem so far in the future, it's unclear why Egyptian anxiety would extend so far into the realm of fantasy. One thing which is clear, however, is that Pharaoh believes in the doctrine of the preemptive strike, which, combined with these visions of hell, is worrisome indeed.
We have seen no aggression between our peoples. We have no desire to send our armies to be wiped out by your technically superior units, from behind your rivers, and walls, and mountains. We are happy with our trade agreements.
Why then, do your paranoid fantasies extend to obliterating glorious Rome, which has only been a friend to you?
