One for the 'hope and change' crowd....

John Stewart on the Daily Show skewered Obama pretty badly a couple of days ago.

He was doing a skit where he was increasingly desperate to find a difference between Bush and Obama and couldn't do it. :D

I knew this was gonna happen. In fact I started a whole thread about it. I was right from the start.

So many people knew. And yet, there was also a whole lot of people who really believed in all that "hope and change" nonsense.

Uhh, Chicago politician who knows exactly what to say to get votes. That's all it is. Who here didn't notice how he subtley changed certain viewpoints from his debates vs clinton to his debates vs mccain? Politicians lie to gain votes. You've got to be a fool to believe any of them.

At least some of us get the satisfaction of saying "we told you so" when we see that Obama isn't brining the hope and change that everyone wanted. Politicians lie.

(McCain was lying too, before you say that I only think Obama is a liar. McCain was a politician trying to gain votes; of course he's gonna lie)

I am not so much interested in shooting him down as I am in watching those that voted for him face the reality that the man wont be able to meet the hype they surrounded him with.

It will be like this: If Obama succeeds he gets an 'A', if he fails Bush gets an 'F'. There will be people that will blame Obama's failures on Bush because they won't be able to stomach the fact that maybe this guy is in over his head, and maybe he's just a typical lying politician who will smile when you're facing him and stab you in the back when you turn around. That's all he is. He's an inexperienced politician who's a master orator and who knows exactly what people want to hear.

Banning stem cell research funding is the same as not banning it?

lol, like McCain and Sarah Freakin' Palin could do better.

I'd rather have a gafing vice president than a theocratic one.

Wow, so, I guess we can expect a thread a week from you along these lines? Given this statement, it would seem your real purpose is not to have a dialogue about the efficacy of this or that policy that Obama is trying, but to bait his more rabid supporters.

You and I disagree on a lot (and agree more often than you might think), but I've tended to respect you as a poster, even defending you from time to time. But, if I have to read a post a week where your true intent is just to prick people... well, I thought you were above that.

The exception that proves the rule.

Yes, if you look hard enough you'll find a difference here and there. But Obama is not significantly different from Bush.

And I'm just fine with that.

How is that a joke?

I don't remember either of those two supporting 2.5 trillion dollar budgets.

In the case of prisoners, McCain is dead set against torture. I can't say the same for Obama.

Now, if Palin is such an idiot and knows the policies of this administration are poor at best, than what does that say about Obama?

Sarah does a good job in that socialist paradise in Alaska. I guess there's a chance should could do it for the lower 48.

Actually, the president is president of all 57 states, not just the lower 48.

That wasn't a gaffe. Obama is planning...
So, we have Iraq and Afghanistan to take the tally to fifty-two. What about the other five? Pakistan, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea?
