Sorry guys, I've been trying to get this *&-^# forum to work for me for a few days. It doesn't seem to work with the game attached, so I'll have to email it to the next person.

Anyway, the game: Played twenty turns (a few days ago) and it became alarmingly apparent that we're being sandwiched by the french and romans. Also, WE HAVE NO IRON . iT HAS BEEN greedily monopolised by the evil french (who don't even realise what they have. An invasion is in order, methinks .

Whoever wants to play next, just say so.

I've posted the game off to Xrang, here's a summarry:

The Romans founded a city in Spain. I founded two. Researched Iron working and we HAVE NONE! But the French do.... hmmm....
Completed barracks in Leipzig. Beginning mobilisation for a war against the french to gain some much needed Territory, Iron and some wines.

Good luck against the evil French and their evil *cough* 'Saint' ("We Love the Saint Day" ) Xrang!

BTW, are Joespaniel and Donsig still playing?

I grabbed the last posted sav and here's what happened:

2670 BC: Barracks built in Berlin and Leipzig.

2470: 2 archers formed.

2270: Our forces (3 vet archers, 1 elite warrior, 1 vet spearman) march on Paris.

2190: War declared on France.

2150: Siege of Paris begins. Germans begin making iron weapons.

2110: Paris razed.

2070: March to Lyon begins.

1990: Lyon destroyed.

1870: Our forces stand outside Orleans.

This is a crowded world! I suggest we finish off France then turn on Rome. We must rid ourselves of Ceasar before he starts making legionaries!

I think we should research towards map making so we can take out England as well.

Note that Greece is nearby. Shouldn't tangle with the hoplites just yet.

We should raze the cities and build our own.

hmmm, seems what I did counts for nothing,sigh, Ohwell. By the way, nice work donsig. I didn't get that far anyway....

Why? I agree on paris, we should found the new city right on the english channel, one square up from the original site, but why so for the rest? Ohwell.

I guess we should make some sort of order for our turns....

I think two games were started in this thread. The first start was posted and is the one I picked up on. The second one was getting e-mailed around. Both can still be played but one should be put into a new thread so they don't get tangled.
