"Operation Black Metal"

Also, if you support my proposed fortresses, that will be an inspiration to hold our borders. Yet, Tugela makes perfect sense for future reference.

Just my two cents in this - I don't think we should try to plug a city inbetween 2 other cities. We'll have 3 cities that can't reach full potential. So we're out of luck - let's not worry about it. If we're going for histographic, it's not vital that we have Iron Works. (We don't need any cities pumping out units 1 per turn if we're gonna be ultra-passive like we are this game...)

Just my two Norwegian Ore in this (one fifth the value of two cents). I don't think "ultrapassive" is the term for the game that someone advocates. Rather call it "introspective, narcissist, multi-handicapped, manic-depressive pseudo-socialist post-imperial traumatist Anarco-syndicalist with a "slay kind of twist of hay" touch of thanatos, hubris and trans-embryonic anti-bureaucratic pro-ad-hoc crisis management.
This long diagnosis should then according to some lead to a histograph in 2050, with 6 turnchats per month and 30 turns passed, would take us a full 18 months to complete in 2006 (maybe we can complete this in virtual surreality in a Japanatica 3D MOD, as I reckon technology will catch up by 2006.

Funny thing, I like most of the adjectives you just said Provo! Pseudo-socialist, post-imperial, trans-embryonic, anti-bureaucratic, and pro-adhoc crisis management sound fairly good to me.

Socialism
- proven to work in Europe, improves standard of living
Post imperial - we aren't an empire nor ever have been, but we sure do act like one
Trans embryonic - embryonic is a term that has lost its meaning due to being used too much
Anti Bureaucratic - who needs more paper pushers and people sitting behind desks with no clue of what's really happening?!
Pro adhoc crisis management - really isn't a problem in the DG, since we can actually wait and carefully organize before going into the next turn; preparing for something 100 turns in advance means that your plans will be out of date

Well, at least the miliary got its stuff together, war objectives are fixed. We will upgrade these following the election, but stick with Tugela until then. When foreign affairs has decided which nations are allies and which nations are rivals, I am willing to slack down on the doctrines, which were badly needed to balance hawks and doves, and in general an aimless foreign policy. We do not know who are friends and rivals, which means MSAV need to plan for every single eventuality. With less eventualities, we can have less planning. The doctrine (a combination of all the small response plans and military organization) has saved us 10-20 % on the science slider, since we have an economic military that delivers the goods at an affordable price.

MSAV will now maximize the gains by allowing the Samurais to generate military success, maybe a great leader or so, and minimize war weariness by ending the war in one turnchat. However, should the people want more, we can go for Isandhlwana and
Mpondo. Tugela has not changed importance, it has actually gotten coal as well since last time, so now we see a diamond monopoly and a spare coal.

Crimso, enlighten me. Besides, I wrote the thing as a sort of protest on where the game is going, not as a proposal you could rip apart for the sake of satisfying your egos or political ambitions. Therefore, that sentence was not even meant to be understood, not from my side, or your side, since all I wanted to remain understood, is that the game is going in the wrong direction as it is. But again, Crimso, be free to dissect this paragraph to if it pleases your ego, or come up with something on where the game is going.

Wrong is such as subjective term, don't you think?

Well, Blackheart, what I say is subjectively wrong to you, which is obvious.
Yet, some of us are not satisfied.

Yes, you know how my mind works alright! Even when I agree with you, you still like to ostentiously point out that I am disagreeing.

If you don't like where the game is going you can either change it, sit there and do nothing, or go on strike.

From this remark, can I sense much support ?

Well, don't you think it is? Especially since you're saying what people are doing is "wrong". Wrong by whose terms, yours or mine?

Wha???

I leave the Demogame for a few days and all of a sudden we're about to declare war? Truly those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. One need only to look at our conquest of the Iroqouis lands (and yes, that's what it was) to realize that we are being pushed towards the same conclusion. Yes, Iron Works is a nice Wonder to have. But, if it's a choice between building a Wonder we don't need, or leaving another nation cities that they surely need, I choose the honorable route.

No, they will declare war Ash, you read it wrong again.

We're doing nothing to avert war, instead we are running headstrong into it, so would it not be doing the same thing?

Well, you are doing nothing, but what can you do ?
You guys failed in letting the Foreign Affairs, be forgotten affairs, in stead, you and your bandwaggon of tormenting doves decided to pester me, in place of doing you r work,
Zulu blood is on your hands blackheart.

My hands? I did push for the FA to do something about it, and now they finally have. I'm not FA minister, I have no authority about that. Now, stop this hypocrisy about me not doing anything, since you seem bent on killing Zulu.

The French? We will shovel up live snails into a certain place, and cork them up.
