German High Command does not doubt that the French still have a sizable military force occupying cities in the southwest parts of the country. However, they are certain that the forces are only strong enough to delay the inevidable defeat of France!
[pissed] We shall see!

France lost two bombers taking out the railroad leading out of Brussels.

The Italian Fleet off the Balaeric Islands has disappeared. I would hope that they killed themselves trying to sink the French, but I doubt it.

December 1940

Germany attacked the French city of St. Nazaire with 8 Bombers, Goering's Army, & 4 Panz def. the garrison of 4 Inf capturing the city

Germany attacked the French city of Dijon with 8 Panz def. 6 Inf while losing 1 Panz

2 German Subs attacked and defeated a British Battleship in the North Atlantic with the loss of 1 Sub

Germany attacked Athens with 1 Bomber, 3 Art, & 5 Panz losing 2 Panz but did destroy the Barracks and Walls

Lastly, the Germans resettled the city of Kavala, in Northern Greece, which was razed by the British who had previously occupied the city at the beginning of the war. German High Command has considered the year to be quite successful with the defeat of Northern France, the capture of many artillery units, and the promotion of several panzer units. The biggest breakthrough of the entire war was the promotion of an elite unit to the leader Goering and the victory of the newly created Goering's 1st Army which has won a battle allowing for the building of the Military Academy. These recent achievements of the German Military along with an ever increasing industrial base helps to reconfirm German High Command's confidence in the direction of the war in the upcoming year of 1941.

That about sums it up.

January 1940

January was a relatively quiet month for the German Military. After a massive assault during December, the remaining French forces defending Dijon fled to the south to join the remaining French army. This allowed the Germans to march into the city.

There were several small engagements:

1 Bomber and Panz def. French Inf South of Dijon

1 Panz def. 1 Inf (Fr) North of Vichy

1 Panz def. 1 Inf (Fr) North of Bordeaux

3 Bombers bombed 2 Inf (Fr) and destroyed the road to rubber near Marsielles

2 Bombers bombed 1 Inf (Fr) North of Bordeaux

1 Art bombarded Athens (Br) ineffectively

2 Bombers destroyed roads between Marsielles and Vichy

1 Cruiser bombarded 1 Cruiser (Br) in the Baltic Straits

1 Bomber bombed Vichy

As French cities continue to fall German High Command is beginning to make plans for an invasion of the British Isles and for a possible Soviet invasion in the east. All military experts agree that the Soviets can be defeated but that will require the movement of many offensive forces from the Western front to the Eastern front...

French cruiser sunk by bombers.

French infantry reduced to one health

Rumours spread this month that Italian forces would begin an invasion of southern France soon.
