Btw why did the German battle report come after mine and who has the save at the moment?

Because I always e-mail the save immediately after playing. I did not have time to post my report at the same time and did it a little later in the day... I am guessing the game is with whoever you e-mailed it to next, probably Oblivion and England.

I have two events happening at the moment in this PBEM which I am interested to see the result of.

I have events in my games all da time :crazyeye: They are damn too eventful for me lately

Played and sent.

Victorius British forces took Madrid this turn, the pride of the Spanish empire.
Panzers in France were bombarded.
An infantry and a rifleman were killed in Spain - A 3/5 tank bravely assaulted the Rifle on a hill near Bilbao, winning a tough battle. This resulted in the arrival of Montgomery to lead the Tank Corps in Spain and France.

Not so good in North Africa, all British units withdrew there, although we hope for reinforcements soon.

The French people are getting ready for their major counter-attack against the evil Germans and Italians. They captured Zaragosa in Spain (empty) and some Resistance Partisans destroyed a redlined Spanish tank. In Libya, the Italian road networks to some of their oil and incense were destroyed.

Norway: Norwegian Partisans located and destroyed an artillery brigade in a daring assault in the hills near Trondheim. When will the axis learn about stealth attacks?

The russian bomber damage the German railroad system in east poland, isolating some city.

The city of Oulu, finland have been taken and the mighty cavalry is waiting for the conter attck!!!
A tank killed an infantry in helsinki but lost a cavalry.

Unfortunatly, a russian sub have been sunk in the baltic sea, tryin to get an easy win...

April 1941

1 Art & 2 Inf (Ger) def. 1 Rif & 1 Inf (Sov) and capture the Soviet city of Brest-Litovsk

Some bombardment of Montepellier and southern France with 7 Bombers

1 Panz (Ger) retreats after unsucessfully attacking 1 Inf (Fr) guarding Montepellier

German High Command has decided that it will show the inferior Russians what the French already know as they try to mop up the rest of France.

An english infantry was sheled by artilery and by a ship in the north of gibraltar. The spanish elite infantry unit finished the job - the unit is not really elite, but it's the best we have :)

:spear:

A bomber bombed an english tank in the north of spain

Marseilles: Aerial bombardment destroys walls. Artillary bombardment takes 4 hit points.
Tank wins(3), Tank wins(3) Tank loses, Tank loses, Tank wins(4) and wins again. Tank loses, Tank wins. Marseilles falls.

Montpellier attacked, conscript tank wins and takes city.

Tubruq: English tank destroyed, Two Infantry units destroyed for no casualties.

The Italian high command was ready to celebrate when strange news reached them, somehow the Spanish had declared war on Sweden, suddenly Germany had been attacked by Sweden and suddenly we found ourselves at war with them as well.

Spain declared war on Sweden?
We didn'd do that... Perhaps the power thirsty english bribed them to declare war on the peaceful Spainish people...

The dirty commies failed to tell us they had offered them an MPP... German High Command also failed to check diplomacy. I should definitely learn from this. Lost Knight I also hope that you are more courteous in the future and tell when and who offers you MPPs...

BK...no hard feelings, it really is mostly my fault not checking...

I hope Sweden offered that treaty otherwise it is against the rules of the PBEM. It definately said that Sweden had declared war first.

It would, indeed, be against the rules for USSR to offer Sweden an MPP. It would not, however, be against the rules for them to sign an MPP offered by Sweden. I trust that LostKnight knew this and that Sweden offered first. In playtests this did happen often.

This would mean that it is within the other allies' rights to sign MPP's and alliances with Sweden. It is also allowable for Germany and Italy to attempt any tries at peace with the Swedes. It is not allowable for Germany or Italy to ask for both peace and an MPP (even though, for instance, France and England could ask for MPP's) as this would dictate Swedish DoW's that are not already in effect.

Spain is not allied permanently to Germany and Italy, so they may follow the same rules as England/France and USSR concerning Sweden (including MPP's). However, Spain would have to be at war with an enemy of Sweden to sign an MPP.

In short: The Swedes violated their own neutrality so the only restriction is that MPP's are limited to those who are already at war with their enemies.

Hope this clarifies things.

Actually, I have no doubt at all that is what happened, but it still would have been nice that he would have told us... Nevertheless...the war goes on...oh, is it against rules to try and patch things up and make peace with them? :D

If faced with the superior axis I would do just that...same as if I was France...

Hopefully by the time the AI manages to find an Italian city they will be ready for peace.

Played and sent. Sevilla, Murcia and Valencia taken in Spain. Infantry outside Gibraltar bombarded. 3 German panzers in Northen Spain bombarded, as well as the panzers in Marseille. Italian tanks in North Africa bombarded. Rifleman in Spain killed by tanks. Walls in Cherbourg destroyed.

Well, the French palace and forbidden palace were taken by the Italians (I was getting vertigo having both of them in the same city anyways)

Some French Resistance Partisans destroyed a panzer unit north of Barcelona. The French Air Corps bombed the roads north of Reggio di Calabria, cutting off the city. The Norwegian resistance is giving the occupation forces major headaches. They have wiped out a colony, bombed a panzer down to 1 hp and destroyed some roads that some slaves had built.

Nothing else to report.
