I was also considering a less traditional design, I didn't put in (ah heck, I'll put it in simple terms) the sail at the back that swings side-to-side while you steer that's on all European vessels, I also haven't stuck to rope standards. My thoughts were I might put in a lot of smaller sails on the side like you suggested, but then once more the issue of hiding the hull details (and also giving the cannons a hard time getting a clear shot) came to mind, so I opted with just two large masts at the bow and stern going right down the middle. It also makes the ship look more related to the
Mextli, which of course it's supposed to be.
Well here's how the run's looking anyways:
And now let us take a moment, for Orthanc to vent steam as he contains his bitterness towards his wireless connection. Said connection was responsible today for eliminating my internet entirely from 4pm to now.
I will be, very very happy, to get back to a physical connection. Which is occuring soon me-thinks.
EDIT: Yes, I see the line that appears at the topsail of the aft mast (back, top sail), have no clue why it's there, it's not in the original frames, it doesn't even show up in the storyboard, it only shows up in the actual FLIC, and only in this direction. Make-a no sense-a.
