OT improvement suggestions

Here's a suggestion that would improve the whole forum: take away the join date.

Or remove the natural human tendency of saying 'Everything was better, back in ye ol' days..... blablabla'

Seriously, it's only the old people here saying stuff like that, while I have seen posts saying it wasn't much better in 2004 or 2005 (although I weren't there at that time myself, of course).

Stop moaning, and if you really don't like it, then go to another forum and repeat the same cycle.

It is low due to a lack of influx of freshblood.

When CiV comes out, all will be restored.

Until then, i would request harsher moderation

How could anyone BUT old people make that claim?:crazyeye:

Nah, most of the rubbish is being pumped out by the regualrs, the Newbs can't produce it with such efficiency that we do

HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!

That would just result in:
A: Widespread anger, causing:
B: Desertion of CFC by all posters who make things more interesting, causing:
C: No need for the amount of Moderators we have so far, causing:
D: More Moderators ending up like Stellar Chaser. Check the CFC:OT Wiki if you don't know what I mean.

That is a dangerous idea.:nuke:

However, I like Yoda Power's sub-Forum idea, minus the auto-generation. I don't think that auto is possible.:dunno:

We have some of the best and most strict mods on the net. They do their jobs well. It certainly isn't their fault things are going the way they have.

I also see this to be a lot like global warming speculation. Does it not occur that older posters move out and newer posters move in all the time? Some of the largest reasons the great older posters are leaving is that they've essentially used up all that is good about CFC. The decline isn't the cause of their departure, it just puts into perspective that they're tired of it for now, or they realize they have more important things to do right now.

The only thing I'd reccommend is getting rid of postcount...but that probably won't ever happen.

Postcount's one of the main reasons I'm still here. Not only is communicating fun, but climbing up the members list is fun, too!:crazyeye:

It is the single biggest contributor to your spam

Which is like teaching Bush II Islam. It's adding something the opposite of the current direction.:crazyeye:

This post makes no sense

Although it reiterates my point

Yeah, that's pretty evident.

I'm not entirely certain that postcount will eliminate or even significantly curb the spam problem: people like attention. It may help, though, so I'd be all for getting rid of it.

Don't go there NK.... :p

I would spend more time in OT if it weren't for NESing. So count your blessings.

What kind of logic is this?

There was a point and time when we didn't have post counts.
