Turn 7

Changteh has fallen to the Japanese Empire after a hard battle.

Now they are victorious, but we will come back, liberating the city.:trouble:

A trade mission to Hyderabad is on the way. More will following.

Meanwhile, the Soviets preparing for a counterattack on Nazi troops. Time to speak with Stalin again.

July 1941
Turn 8

First cities are defended with AA Batteries. Time to produce Artillery units. Stalin promises to mercilessly fighting the Japanese Empire if he gets Republic and Colonialism.
Should I agree?

Turn 9

Japanese troops landed near Wenchow. Unfortunatelly I lost half of the garrison while defending the city. My Airforce destroyed some Japanese Artilleries in central China.

Heavy battles between Nazis and Soviets with high casualties for the Nazis.

The tide will turn! Hopefully the scenario is giving you a fun challenge?

A little status update at April 1941:

-I've completely ejected the Germans from Norway
-I've completely ejected the Germans from Africa
-I've yet to be attacked by a single U-Boat in the Atlantic

-The Soviets have lost Vladivostok to the Japanese

One thing I really like about this scenario is you would expect with 400+ units to have a long turn, however that is not really the case. I quite enjoy your style of scenario building and in particular the way you allocate units to the map. Case in point, on my first turn, I quite quickly learned that shipping was going to be the big issue for me as I didn't have enough of it where I wanted it. This brings me back to Churchill's memoirs as he spent a considerable part of them complaining about the lack of shipping. If I were faced with U-Boats as well, I'd have a real problem.

I think April of '41 is far too early to tell how things will shake out so I'll avoid making judgements right now aside from telling you that I'm enjoying myself. I'm just not making that great of progress in this due to working on several things at once.

@JPetroski
Thanks, good sir!

Yeah, I wanted to make naval invasions and moving troops around need a lot of ships, as even a few tanks and equipment would fill up a big freighter to the gunwhales. :)
As for the uboat issue, I saw the Allies use lots of naval units and subs in my last playthrough, so I wonder if the Germans are prioritizing land units...Maybe some events
created subs for them might be something to add for the next version...?

Its hard to tell this early on. For example, I have no idea if you have nasty event surprises in store for me that I haven't yet encountered.

My goal is to try and knock Germany out of the war as quickly as possible. We will see how fast I can do that and then you can decide if adjustments need to be made :)

There a few surprises scripted in events, but the AI provides plenty of fun too. :)

I'm now in November '41 and I think I just got one of your surprise events.:D
Communist uprisings in Central China after Stalin attacked my troops in Mongolia.

Allies are now at war with Japan, Nazis lost a lot of troops on the Russian border and Japan conquered Manila. Good to see that Japan uses Aircraft Carriers correctly. They bombed my garrison in Kwangchowan away and conquered the last remaining ruins in the city.

Ah! Stalin betrayed you, just as you always knew he would!
Time to kick Mao's boys back into the mud!

I spotted a carrier using a Wellington to bomb the French coastal cities...My only observation. CIV2Units might have more to report.

PS
@techumseh
If you want to take a spin, I can send the files any time.

If you PM me your email, I can send the files out to ya.

EDIT
Got your PM, thanks!

@Fairline
If you also want the latest version, please drop me an email.
Since your art is the driving force for this project, you should have the latest version too.

During the Kwangchowan bombardation the Japanese had an Aircraft Carrier on the ocean tile with units in it. Unfortunatelly I don't know how many bombers and fighters where actually carried with this unit.
During my first playtest with Japan the Americans transported at least one air unit with the Carriers and used this planes for air raids against my troops.

The Soviets currently more a problem than Japan. Currently heavy air raids around Mongolia, I too lost nearly all of my trade units on their way to British India.
Mao's guys luckely aren't a real threat currently. Many of them where bombed into hell by my Artillery. Thanks to the US for the financial help.:D
