Overlord Scenario Playtest Thread

My cities starts producing weapons again but I think that I can´t ship them to Australia until January 1950.
Anyway, I conquered beside Australia nearly everything I planned at the beginning of the scenario.

My Australia campaign is at some point a desaster. But it´s funny though. Maybe I can conquer Perth, this would prevent the Brits to attack the West Coast cities in one turn with their Bombers.

September 1948
Turn 91

My AA Battery shot down an american Bomber and one of my battleship sunk an american Battleship.
In Australia, everything is currently quite.

November 1948
Turn 93

I started a air raid on Chita in Siberia. Too many soviet bombers attacking Nomonhan.
Two heavy british Artillery units are destroyed near Darwin.

The Nazis conquered Trondheim. The Führer is still hidden.

Curt, I will stop the scenario for now. I´ve reached my targets, conquered most of East Asia and some parts of Australia.
It was a very great and funny game I played and definitely making interest for more. As I wrote before, when you released the final version I will try my luck with the counterpart of Japan, in this case the British Empire.
Preventing the Nazis making Europe to one great hell on earth, stopping Soviet rise and pulling back the Japanese to their mainland would be for sure a challenge but a good one.

Many thanks that I may playtesting your scenario.

Thank you for the playtest, and sticking with it for the whole war. I will be using this thread to edit and improve various areas and events.
When I get the next version ready, I will let you know. The British version and Soviets are the next ones I will prioritize and complete.

My gratitude and I will keep you informed of the next version coming up!

UPDATE:

Thanks once again to @civ2units for his excellent playtest. A very kind and useful effort!

I have a list of fixes to the default version of the scenario, which I will start working on this month.
I'd like to get things done before december's end...And will make the files available via request.

Then it is onto the fun of creating the faction-orientated versions of the scenarios! :)

@JPetroski

Right now, I'm using Civ2Unit's suggestions to edit the base version of the scenario, with a view to making it suitable for multiplayer, perhaps.
The first "faction versions" will be for the Soviets and British, each with their own events and higher challenges from the AI...
Also special in-game graphics for each nationality...Trying to give each faction their own flavour in text and UI...

Well if you get it to a point where you want to try an axis vs. Allies MP quick match vs. One other player (to guarantee timely completion), Id be up for it.

Sounds good. :)
That might be possible before chirstmas for sure. It might be best to wait until the current MP corona game is over?

I mean if you and I are just playing it doesn't really matter - the corona MP game takes literally 3 minutes - very small scenario to deal with. Something like yours I imagine could be 30-45 minutes after the first turn (though I have no idea) but we might be able to achieve a turn a day/every other day. When you feel that it's ready for testing let me know. I don't care which side I play as.

Indeed, the turns for this one would be in-depth...It will be the grand WW2 campaign.
I will be selective on how the scenario is released - I'll post a message when ready, and people can request the files.

I might play as the Chinese - See if I can repel Japan as the weakest power.

I wonder in an MP game, would you chaps prefer the diplomacy turned on or off, in regards to the AI?
