Okay, everyone has that movie that everyone else loves, which they hate. Everyone. So basically, post a movie that alot of people like, and you think sucks, and why. No flaming because someone hates your favorite movie, :p.

My choice is "The Godfather". I know, alot of people consider it a classic, but I think it was a waste of three hours. There was no ultimate point to it, in my opinion. There was hardly any character development, and it was just all over the place character-wise and plot wise. Half of the time you couldn't even figure out why they were killing that guy or who he was. It was overly long, and was pointless, really. What movies do other people hate?

I'll only write about the ones I saw.

The Matrix. Somebody needs to tell those nerds it's just a movie.

Anything I've ever seen with Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, or Alec Baldwin, save for Beetlejuice.

Well, looks like I covered the field.

Anything by Quentin Tarantino.

Clerks.

Apollo 13.

ET

Titanic

The Star Wars movies

Lord of the Rings

The awesomeness of clerks is due to the history behind the movie rather than the movie itself. Clerks is a very good movie, good to watch it if you realize it was done with less than $100.000.

I would say armaggeddon... I know, I know, very few people consider it a good movie, but, it is so bad that saying it is just bad it is ovarrating it.

Office Space! Quentin Tarantino movies! The Godfather! I know we all have our own opinion and all, but this is like movie sacrilege.

I can't think of any now, but I definitely will.

Titanic, Matrix sequels, Star Wars prequels...

and Vertigo

It is supposed to be classic Alfred Hitchcock but it drags on and is just dumb and boring.

Thelma and Louise. Why do I hate it? What's there NOT to hate? Stupid plot, stupid ending. Oh, let's show some solidarity and have some feminine bonding as we just stupidly end our lives needlessly by careening over a cliff. Yippee.

Movies not even fit to fill a garbage bin: Clockwork Orange, Forest Gump, Stars Wars, all Monty Pythons, and anything about Austin Powers. :thumbdown

These will all rot your mind :spank: I never made it through any of these piles of rubbish without deleting or walking away from them.

I'll open up a 55 gallon drum of whoopass on anyone who says these 'movies' are good.

Anchorman. I've watched it twice, it has some good parts but overall not the comedy gold its hyped up to be. Unless its like the Cable Guy where it starts off dumb, but gets better every time you watch it.

I'll counter your 55 gallon drum with one 16 ton weight. Not that you understand it of course...

Lets see...I loved Forest Gump, liked all of the Star Wars (especially the originals), thought Monty Python & the Holy Grail had its moments, and laughed dozens of times at the 3 Austin Powers movies!

Have fun trying to open up that can across an ocean

For me...well, I've come to appreciate almost every movie in some way, but M. Night Shamalan & Quentin Tarantino films are overrated IMO.

EDIT: Oh, and I also hated those stupid American Pie movies...

The Matrix movies and the Kill Bill movies. They both have upsides and brought something interesting and different to the screen, but no one can say that they are not overrated. The number of fanboys defending these movies and their makers is simply ridiculous. The same can be said about all nerds movies (Star Wars, Clerks, Office Space, LOTR, ect.).

From what I gathered, being the proud owner of a penis makes it hard to fully enjoy the Thelma & Louise experience... :mischief:

Most all Quentin Tarantino films are overrated as hell.
