I'm not bashing Oxford . I just dared to assume that if today's professor is able to do such a thing , tomorrow I'll have no place to study , and , somehow , your post confirms my suspicions .

Well, traditionally professors have had the right to reject doctoral students, even without giving a reason.
If this guy is very anti-Israeli (as many college professors are), I can imagine that he would have trouble working with an Israeli. I can imagine having lots of trouble working with a French or British student, so I have some sympathy for the guy.
If this started to turn into a trend, then I'd be worried, but it seems to be just one individual.

You misunderstand me. All I was saying was that I am a Cambridge man and therefore predesposed to attack Oxford regardless of fact or truth. I think you may be reading slightly too much into my comments. I don't blame you though because I am a very deep, insightful and modest man. Down with Oxford!

Just because you were banned a few days ago that does not neccesarily mean that there is a worldwide conspiracy against Jews. While being banned sucks it is neccesary so that people will at least show a minimum amount of courtesy. Even though you did not start the thing, you took the bait. Happens to the most of us.

I'm just expressing my point of view . I didn't know this was discussed before , true , but it was discussed in june , and I joined CFC in june and didn't know OT exists , so how am I supposed to know it was discussed before ?
And I didn't talk of conspiracy , did I ? I just said that if professor of Oxford (!) university is apt to do something like this , than what can I expect from less educated people ?

Well for me the connection is fairly obviois. You get banned, because you indulge in name-calling. Not because you are not allowed to defend Israel, or because Jews are treated unfairly.
Then you post this story. It is obvious to me that this is a way at insinuating (again) that all Europeans are jew-bashers. And that the freedom of jews is being curtailed. Here and everywhere.
