Whenever I hear Bast talk about how she does not do modern, I cannot help but to laugh because its so childish how she views things...

I hope they add some mechanisms to make micromanaging large numbers of POPs (China, India, major immigration centers, etc.) easier. A button to fill up an RGO completely, using unemployed POPs, or split POPs until the RGO is full would be a great start.

modern times are considered back to renaissance often times. Modern combat I've seen considered to start at WW2. Obviously we don't fight the same now but the general use of technology, with planes, machine guns, tanks etc, is similar.

In respect to games, WW2 is not modern times. You got future ( now to infinity), modern times (1970's to present), WW2 (1930's to 1950), WW1 (1900 - 1920), Wild West ( 1800-1900), Revolutionary era ( 1700-1800), Late Renaissance ( 1600-1700), Renaissance ( 1400-1600), Middle Ages ( 400 - 1400) and the rest goes from there. Thats essentially the time periods games are divided into.

Victoria - the Wild West game :lmao:

Wild West is an entire genre of its own and only available in space (Firefly) or in the mid-USA. A more appropriate name would be the Victorian times.

Ah, thats the name I was looking for. It was at the tip of my tongue (well, fingers really) but I just couldnt come up with it. Thanks.

As some of you know, I'm modding WMM for Europa Universalis.

I'll be finished sometime this month, and I have to do some playtesting, and I'm thinking of doing an AAR on it.

Here are my choices:

Cyprus - Cyprus now has 3 provinces, and is quite an interesting choice from my perspective. Goals would be to see how strong you can make Cyprus now.

A Wallonian country - I have expanded in Belgium, adding new countries to the area, so when Burgundy/Hapsburg Belgium collapse, instead of Flanders owning all of Belgium, independent Belgium states get released. The goal here would be to go Wallonian State - Wallonia - Belgium - Netherlands. The options to play as will be Tournai, Hainut and Namur. I have already played a Belgium game recently though, and I still haven't completed it so...

A Romanian country - Romania has gotten reworked, and I hope they are now done well enough that they aren't any more just 'Buffer States' between Poland, Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Golden Horde. Modolva ideally can survive a Hungarian invasion, but we will see. Choices here to play is Wallachia, Transylvania, Modolva and a creatable Basarabia since it starts with a core.

Bohemia or Slovakia - I have reworked both regions, I could try playing as them.

Poland - Redone, I will most likely play this on my own time, but if people really want to see me try to achieve World Conquest with Poland, than so bet it. :p (Note, i'm not serious about WC)

Lithuania - Also redone.

Zapororzhia, Crimea, Ukraine - Area remade a bit as well, Would be interesting game.

Teutonic Order - I have never played as Teutons before despite my awareness of it being a fun game, because I can never conquer Poland as them. Or rather, never have the will to do so. However, you guys can force me to do so through AAR. :p Entire Baltic area is reworked.

Portugal/Spain/Leon/Galicia/Catalonia/Aragon/Basque - I have redone Venezuela and Colombia, someone else has redone Mesoamerica and is currently flavoring it, and he asked me to take a look at fixing up Peru. The guy is a Brazilian and has also reworked on Brazil previously. South America is quite different. We can try playing a Colonizing game. Spain has been done by me numerous times, Portugal IMO is to boring and easy for me. I don't want to do Aragon or Catalonia because Tanicius Fox's AAR is on them. (or was on them...) Your picks...

Take a little vote on it and i'll make my AAR on the winner.

Thats wouldnt be too much fun. It wouldnt be a Total War game because you'd have 3 units under your control...Now Civil War: Total War would be interesting.
A Total War game with just two civilizations, with main difference between their units being color of uniform? Doesn't sound to have much replayability.
That war would be much better served with some different franchise.

Compared to Wild West: Total War?

Anyways, even then, it does not necessarily have to be a game about just those two nations, but rather, it could be sort of an expansion pack. You cant tell me it wouldnt be cool to play through a civil war campaign on the Total War engine.
