Paradox Interactive games

I'd recommend the Soviets as well. You'll only be fighting on one front, although long, and if you start in one of the earlier scenarios you'll be in a way better position than the IRL Soviet Union once the war comes, even if you don't manage the buildup that well.

Start with Soviets.

A tip: have a number of transports ready for when the Winter War comes, then launch massive amphibious assaults on all the VP provinces, and annex ASAP. Beating the Finns on land = difficult.

Start with Albania, succes guarenteed

AOD has been confirmed as delayed.

BTW, Vicky2 is starting to look really, really cool judging by the deve diaries. I urge people to check them out...

I have to agree here, but then again, I thought HoI3 looked pretty cool from the Dev Diaries as well and that didn't turn out too well. At least not in my opinion. Maybe with an expansion pack.

That said, I prefer the feel that they are going for with Victoria 2, brighter, more optimistic colours, and from what I have seen a pretty good interface.

Johan commented in a thread that they had learned their lesson from HoI3, and were using professional beta-testing studios this time, so I would hope that would weed out the most glaring problems.

With a much more nebulous "1st quarter 2010" now. I had a very hard time believing that an outside group would be able to learn, modify, and reasonably check out an HoI2 code revision in 3 months.

I'm pretty sure they've been working on it for longer than that, it was just formally announced around 3 months ago.

Hey guys, just got EU3 with IN and I have a question: Is it possible to build new CoTs? I haven't been able to find a way, but for some reason I remember -something- that said you could.

Yep. From EU3 Wiki:
Beginning in NA, it is possible for nations to create their own CoTs, pending the following requirements for the province where a new CoT is desired:
  • The province must not be trading to a CoT that you own.
  • The foreign CoT the province is trading to must be worth more that 300 ducats.
  • A CoT costs 500 ducats to build.

Not a Paradox game, but rather an AGEOD (recently purchased by Paradox, but will stay mostly independent as regards game design AFAIK) one.

Should I buy Hearts of Iron 3, or is there going to be a sale on it or some kind of deal real soon?
