Anybody tell me how I would be able to zone certain people (Cough, Cough, *my Girlfriend* Cough, Cough) out of thinking that every plane that goes overheard is going to blow up or is taking people to Brisbane to blow up CHOGM?
(Commonwealth Heads of Gov't Meeting...)
We woke up in the middle of the night last night to hear a huge plane going overhead very low (nothing realy unusual, just LOUD!) and she started ****ting herself, bacause she thinks of everything as the doomsday ****... argh!!!

And then of course that had me thinking or contingency plans like hmmm, have to get my mates and go clear out that bunker that we found in the bush a few years back and would have to grab my family and ****!

I'm a normal guy! I don't think like this! I have the solid notion in my head that no one wants to hurt Australia because 1. We are little 2: we are nice to everyone, 3: Why? We have nothing really special other than a good lifestyle and 4: If anyone ever did try to take us the rest of the world would back us up! (Well they bloody well better! :) )

Are any of you guys having these sort of problems? If I'm over here having this ****, It must be really bad in the middle east and in America... For the people in the middle of it...

Thanks,
Morgasshk...

oops, read the bottom one :crazyeyes

i have had no problems with anyone, i think it is because i live in CANADA :goodjob: , and i feel that we're not really TOO big a target, i hope:rolleyes:

p.s i am an idiot!!! how do you work a poll??!!!

You can't live your life in fear, otherwise, its not much of a living. Enjoy each day like its your last and you will never worry about anything.

And

You will be pleasantly surprised each morning knowing you somehow made it through another day (the pessemist's credo ;)).

Well, yes and no.

Statistically, you are more likely to die from a driving accident that from a terror attack. HOWEVER - we have seatbelts, airbags, etc that help reduce the damage if I am in a driving accident. At this point, those of us in the US lack a 'seat belt' for terror attacks, and I think we are all looking for one right now.

G-Man lives in Israel, where many people have gas masks in their home. I live in suburban Chicago. Should I have some in my home, too? Perhaps. While I am willing to make some small changes, and to learn to be more alert to my surroundings, I am not going to otherwise allow my life to change. It's like having the seat belt, etc.... the only sure option is to stop driving altogether, and that is not a viable alternative.

My advise (you did ask ;) ) Take a weekend hike, clean out the bunker. Use it as a campsite for fun, but know it's there just in case. Store food staples in the 'camping box' at home. When your girlfriend freaks out, tell her you have everything taken care of, if it gets bad, everyone can go to the bunker and be safe... big deal if it isn't entirely true. You will hopefully have some fun camping, you will perhaps be a little safer if the worst happens, and you girlfriend can go back to sleep.

Thanks Ashoka.... Sounds good to me... Mind you, I don't look forward to clearing out all that glass and syringes!
(Might be secluded and miles away but has been used!)
I suppose I should have noted my usual argument with Paranoia.... "Women"..... Sorry girls!!!!

Well, if things come to the worst, you're quite welcome to join me in one of my interconnected "underground lairs";) Won't say in public where it is, but it is located under a large red rock in the middle of the country. Know what I'm talking aboot?
Got enough supplies down there to keep most of my evil forces safe until after :nuke: :rocket: :ak47: :tank: is all finished.

"We must prevent a mineshaft gap!"

I've got a few places down in Saddleworth I could go as well, thats down thattaway. Ya know those underground houses and stuff they have in Kalgoorlie? I've always wanted to live in one of them... They look cool! I think nearly everyone would have thought of plans on where to go if the world went totally haywire... (not that it already hasn't....)

Hmmm, this site and forums are very distracting... time for work, Later!)
