Great Game, guys. And Hats Off to General_W for the win

I hope you guys had as much fun with this game as I did. The game was completed in 177 hours over 277 days

I'd love to be able to log all the hours I fretted over it, though

The Greek people will never stand for renaming Athens - just to warn you!

Great Game everyone! I had a total blast with this one. It could have gone either way a number of times.


The W_Empire would like to extend its deep thanks to the Chinese Empire and their glorious leader, DNK – for sticking with our treaty. Despite rising to power late in China – you aggressively pursued your second place finish, and earned it!

Also – to our great friend and worthy occasional adversary, Peter of the Greeks! The W_Empire salutes and honors you!
It was a great fight, and you surprised and worried me many times. If hadn’t out-hustled you on the diplomacy with DNK… who knows where the game would have gone?
But hey – you recruited me to this game – so its your own fault!

Finally – Special thanks to Erik (who built an empire so scary it took 3 nations to bring him down), Twistlok (who fought on like a hero against overwhelming odds), Boc4j (who laid the foundation of the W_Empire), and Kake (who handed over the reigns of power to my dear ally DNK).

It was a great game! An enormous THANK YOU: to Peter for constantly recruiting people to this game to keep it alive all the way to the end.

A bit late, but I'd also like to say thanks. This was my first PBEM and it was quite the experience. I don't know if they're all so dramatic, but I hope so.

Thanks to GW for pulling through on the alliance, and thanks and sorry, Peter, for the whole secret pact to destroy you thing. Same to Erik, wherever he has gone.

And thanks to Twistlok for putting up with getting a good ass kicking for our sake.
