Ha, he does! I've never seen the show, but I can't imagine anything good coming from someone named "T-Bag".

renamed that city
MVP! MVP!

Doesn't look like Carthage offered much resistance to you either. They really rolled over and played dead, huh?

A point victory or double victory is still pretty darn far away. Looks like this is going to be another ambitions victory game to me.

Mr Elephanto

actually laughing out loud here.

Truly the fulfillment of John Adams quote: "I study politics and war, so that my son can study mathematics and agriculture."
General Beast

The picture has been lost to history but he was a highly decorated War Elephant. pholk might remember him.
The Elephant family, from General to simply Mister. Cheers!

great turns all! i feel like it's a slingshot as soon as Oz's posts his turns  i've got this, and can play tomorrow

i've played but am just exhausted from work today. cold rain and walking in slushy, icy mostly melted snow :nope:

i'll report tomorrow, but dream of this:

edit: its, uhh, whaddaya call it, dramatic tension...yeah, that's the ticket...

Elephants dying, chickens dying...we're going to have a PETA riot on our hands soon.

T96:
Event Log: [ed note: let's rope some of the BUG modders over here to get a autologger for events :) ]
Foreign Delgation: 55 wood, 300something beakers
Our Peace is Over: no groveling for us; we're at "truce" w Rome now :hammer:
The Walk: new Ambition: research Cohorts and Martial Code (I marked them on our tech tree)
Dead/New Ambassador:

Land of Hairy Men (I feel both seen and offended): Menkaure's still on walkabout for 600g; it's a gap year blog thing; you wouldn't understand
I grant RIPME (lol) to the Amarna family as they only have 2 cities so far, and find a nice gov:

I also put governor's in anywhere I found a vacancy or built one during my set, too.
Burial Mounds: I decide to NOT loot the Danish burial grounds just to up our Disc to 0 from -1.

Hey, also, why's he got that hat on? What's he hiding under there? SPT?? little side pony tail action??

T97:

Our Chancellor died, and I selected the least mediocre candidate. She's 67, so Oz will probably find a new one. We got some governor promotion events, as well as Dragon Bones, which netted us an Archer and Axeman. When we get orders, I look forward to moving them. :yup:

and of course:

First time for that one! My compliments to the chefs.

t98
More gov'r promotions (this was a theme for my set), and Duke Narmer finished his Tactics study. I probably should've stuck him onto a unit. For Laws, I opted to take Constitution over Tyranny as we seem to be doing very well on shields, i like the +4g per specialist and want to look into Decrees. (note: i promptly forgot about decrees :( )

We also are going to try and assassinate another Carthaginian, and Hatty takes a trade mission to Babylon, in honor of Our Guy, J.

t99
Babylon loved that so much they wanted us to declare on Rome, but I said no . . . for now. Duke Tut (not as catchy as King) gets +2 CHA from an event, and Prince Menkaure ends his exploring and becomes Blessed. So he's got that going for him.

Which is nice.

Karalis came out of revolt and I gave it to Amarna again. I wanted to try and get some more Monasteries and Temples built in Amarnite cities to get those boni for the empire.

t100

And the Danish want to marry one of their daughters to our family!?! Um, no thanks.

That's basically it. I'd love a way to consolidate the info from the events; I guess as the first SG for the game, we're workiing out some kinks.

I founded a couple cities, build plenty of specialists when I could, and started a few more settlers.

On the military front, I made progress in moving forces to the north to wipe out the Carthaginian cities up there, while also trying to move our militia out to the city sites and relieve the military that's there now.

I also healed our army and brought some back from the island for now. We're almost ready to take another city in a few turns, and I'm not sure there's a reason to stop? so . . .

I should've grabbed a couple shots of the fronts for you all; sorry about that

Pressing enter, I notice that IBT some people died, others did other things and we have honey

As an engineer myself, there was only going to be one option chosen here

We have nearly taken both the Carthage cites we are bombarding and closing in on another.

Another turn and another bunch of stuff happens

Dude will be famous in a couple thousand years.

More siege will come in handy

General Beast would turn in his grave

And I played 4 years, war still rages and stuff.

that shadow is oddly placed under his nose in the Citizenship tech card

good turn, oz, though I think happy subjects would warm Gen Beast down to his cockles...

and judging by the turnaround, i'm guessing i'll "waiting patiently", but will be up now in about 35 mins :mischief:

It sounds like even the Carthaginians disapproved of the senseless elephant massacre. I'm glad they're coming around.
