as do i, but more thoughts on tech path later ~ for now, to the scolding!
If there's four workers all doing different tasks, then Zophos must've played before me:
oh, there are four, and they ARE doing different things! I win!! Not scolding so much as lashing. I prefer to at least double up my workers (not grouped together) so that resources/tiles are online faster.
THe next turn, I sent a couple workers to Princeton to improve those bananas:
and cracked the whip at Athens:
We also killed a barb on the IBT:
445 bc, Shaka came by, getting all 'demand-y' on us:
I said no this (in retrospect, I wish i'd've said yes), but then reached an agreement:
on this same turn, Asoka is revolting:
well, not literally; with hair like that, who could be revolting? He's the Indian Fabio!
Aiee ~ a barb axe makes his appearance in 415:
However, we was owned by our archer next turn:
I also discovered this down to our south:
It doesn't interfere with us too much, but i think the next longer term goal should be take that city.
Frederick came by in 355 for a trade:
Normally I value happy resources slightly higher than healthy ones (they're the bishops to the health's knights), but we need all the friends we can get.
Buddhism spread to us in 340, and i revolted.
You can see, everyone but Asoka is Buddhist, so . . .
And finally, here's Tiny Greece, with map signs for the next player:
after that Granary finishes in Sparta, pls start a settler, and whip it for 2 pop when you can;
@ Athens, whip the Settler next turn for 2 pop, and maybe head for a library.
@ Princeton, whip that Library, and set it to fast growth. We should let it get to 7, and run some scientists ASAP.
I thnk Sparta could be produciton for a bit, while Athens and Princeton provide the beakers.
re: tech path, we're still on the way to ABCs, but I'm not so sure the Great Library is still feasible. I also am somewhat against it b/c i want to go for the general SE, and not depend on any wonder for our victory, but it can be a group decision.
In either case, Alpha > Lit (?) > CoL > Civil Service (desperately necessary to spread the farms!)
We should found Sorbone first, and then Cambridge. Then gear up to take that barb city. Generally speaking, i think the SE runs at a much lower sci % so we can afford those 2, and a third one down the line. I think we may end up with about 9 cities or so, if we play our cards right.
finally, let's all welcome Pigswill, coming in to pick up the slack
double finally, I played 15 turns as that seemed to be a better pace. Unless war happens (and the player should stop at that point and report to the group), let's do 15
