Border clashes became increasingly frequent between the royalist and Republican factions, the first full out invasion was begun by the royalists who attacked a border fort during a visit by Kan in hopes of destroying the rebellion before it grew
General Swein was the only General who had unquestioned loyalties to the crown however he was still tied up in the middle east, and he was ordered to stay there because of suspicions of Governor Princescamps loyalties
General Pugwash II was called to lead the invasion of Scotland, he was given over 8000 infantry 1000 Cavalry and 4 Cannons, he requested extra backup but the King denied it on the grounds that they were only fighting rebels and shouldn't be worried about numbers as long as they had quality.
The General observed the use of Scottish flags among these republican troops, it appeared that the Scottish supporters of Kan really couldn't care whether or not they were fighting for a republic but rather viewed this as a second Scottish-English war
The battle began well, Royalist Cannons blew holes all through the forts defenses and then proceeded to march into the fort itself, however it was discovered that using muskets in close quarters isn't as effective as the Republican axes and swords, the Royalists were forced out of the fort and General Pugwash and his remaining troops marched back to the border in hopes of preventing a republican invasion of England

I said Swein was the only General who's loyalties were not still questioned, as well as Nodikus would be the only loyal admiral and our ministry of silly walks would be the only loyal monty python sketch and so on since they were the only ones who had already supported the crown
