you seem to have forgotton to uphold your side of the bargain so my traders have misplaced the goods which are normally sent to you, i imagine they will continue to be misplaced until you hold up your side.

or i get recompensated for the turns you were recieving goods off me and it turns out i get nothing.

Here's another curveball for you to ponder.

I really wish we could hear from him to see if he's coming back or not. If he's not coming back, perhaps someone not currently in the game could stage a coup and take over his civ.

Such an action may well result in a major shift in diplomacy. I can imagine it now, a new leader appears on the scene and suddenly a dozen or so others have an urgent need to make contact. Some to see if old alliances will hold, others to find out if a new trading partner is available...

Looking at this logically...
An AI is better than an inactive player
An human player is better than an AI
So I don't see anything wrong with allowing DaveShack in.

But unless DaveShack honors all of Sigma's existing agreements, I will probably aid in his destruction because he can't be trusted.
