I finally got my laptop somewhat stabilized on the GPU end. It really bogs down on project 13001 which has the base of 17,123 points. It handles the smaller WU's fine. I will probably bring back the CPU again soon. I ended up on the "folding" forum and some of those guys are doing over a million points a day.

As a team we are now in the 240th spot.

K, I've already put in the number and have it working. On the site it mentions team CFC, so I assume everything is working correctly.

On your task bar (lower right) in hidden icons there should be a small icon with the multi-colored folding symbol. Clicking on it will bring up a menu. If you chose Advanced Controls it will open the software interface that is offline separate from the online one. You can change the amount of resources and even pause the folding. Are you running both CPU and GPU?

CPU is running, and I believe the GPU is now, too, although it didn't look like it was earlier. It shows it working on the site now.

No, I don't yet. Is that important?

The passkey ensures that you get the proper credit from doing the folding. Even if your are not interested in the points, it does show the people who are in charge of folding that you are serious about it. It is like an added security both for you and them. The folding is taken very seriously and they do not want the work to be riddled with errors and people who may try to sabotage their efforts.

In the Advanced Control window in the top left, there is a configuration button. It should open to the identity tab. At the bottom is a link to the request passkey. I think they e-mail it to you. You can then copy and paste it in twice where it says enter passkey.

In all fairness, he did pass Naskra earlier than he predicted, but holding out longer than 7 months may not happen.

All set on 2nd place now. The question is, can I get to first place ahead of schmiddi? The current trendlines say no - schmiddi passes me in about ten months, I pass Naskra in about fifteen months.

my current estimate says i get you in little more than 7 months
