I'm posting my mod with a link to the download database page. Sounds like that's the best option based on this discussion, but let me know if there is a change in guidance.

Hi all,

I've released a simple mod that turns the appeal (fresh water), resource, yields and hex grid layer on for the Founder unit, so the map looks exactly the same when selecting a Founder as it does when selecting a Settler later in game. This should make it easier to decide where you want to settle your capital.

Hi all,

I've released a simple mod that turns the hex grid off every time you start a new game, load a save enter or enter a new age. Not only for the default view, but also for the settler lens, the continent lens, the trade lens used by merchants and the lenses created by mods. You can still manually toggle the hex grid on (and off again).

This will turn the grid off for lenses created by the following mods, if you have any of these installed:

If I have two mods, should I place them reference them both in the "Released Mods" , or have seperate threads for each? I don't think there's going to be much discussion so two threads doens't seem nessasary

Two resources can’t point to the same discussion thread with how our system works, so if you want both resources to point to a discussion thread it’ll have to be two separate threads.

Two questions:
  1. Is there an appropriate place to announce our mods?
  2. Any chance y'all are open to providing API access to update mods?
 
1) That depends on what exactly you want from the announcement. In the past (other civ versions) we semi-regularly did a compiled post with links to all new mods, to highlight what's new, but we've not done that for a while, besides a few specific highlights.

2) No, as only the owner currently has the option to create API keys. In theory an update should only take a few clicks. What are your main obstacles?
