Any thread in my sections that is a potenial problem, which means almost all political threads, all new threads to make sure it is a valid topic (don't always read all the posts in a thread).

Outside of that, I rarely have time to look at things in other sections.

Normally I ignore threads over 2 pages. The discussion will have gone off-topic, and if it's in the OT or feedback forum you can guarantee that a separate discussion will have emerged arguing whether it is spam or not, depending whether or not someone's offended by the content. Also, any thread in OT that's over 2 pages will consist of the same old arguments repeated over and over and... zzzzzz

I read all the posts in the threads I select, but I am somewhat picky about which threads. :D

I usually start my day in Site Feedback, then check out Computer Talk, Humor & Jokes, OT, and World History. Then it's up to Civ3 GD, and Stories & Tales/Succession Games. After that, I'll browse around as the whim strikes me. :)

I do have one user on my ignore list. He was trolling Americans in an OT thread, and I finally told him I was tired of his silliness. Of course, he immediately "attacked", because I was "discussing the discussion" and not really contributing. I then told him I was putting him on ignore as he was just a troll. I still read all his posts (not that I needed to, people were quoting him quite well :D ) but the "ignore" function reminded me that I had promised myself that I would not respond to him.

Generally I choose only a few topics from OT but in other forums I will try to read more topics, but only the ones that I am interested in.

I think I manage to read every post in the CIV3 demogame forums, minus some of the RPG threads. Then I check out site feedback, but I rarely have time for any others.

I usaly Read most of Civ3 Gen, Civ3 Creation, and Site Feadback and check others if I have time.

Lately, I'm a little bit disappointed with CivFanatics failed feature - namely showing which threads are "unread". I've tried everything (not using the back button), using cookies, etc. I don't have this problem at Apolyton. I only mention this because this impacts my willingness to participate in more threads here at CivFanatics.
Try having something that auto Refreshes open like who's online.

I read only those threads that I think will amuse me or that are informative...that leaves alot of threads on the way-side only visted when I am totally bored.

I read almost all posts in Civ3 GD, some threads in OT, some threads in H and J, and most threads in SF. I'll also sometimes visit Civ3 Strat, and when I'm bored I might visit other forums.

And when I read a thread I usually read most all of the posts, unless there are some really long, boring posts. But if there is a thread more than 40 or so posts long I usually will read some of it and then lose interest in it.

I read practically every thread in OT, History, Sports, H&J as well as Site Feedback once, most of them all the time.
There are a few I avoid after a while, although often just to look back in it if it stays on top quite some time.
I also read alot of threads in the Civ3 forums, but I avoid the repetetive threads about the "big failures of the game" or "why this UU sucks" if I'm not completely bored.

I have it set to email notification default and that is the first priority - reply to all threads which have replies on it. If I really want to kill time I'll look through the first page of the General and Strategieis forums and maybe the Site Feedback one.

Im in AoA's boat...all potential probs in the forums i mod and not much outside.

I'm a selective reader, I read the topic and when it sounds promising (or funny ;) ) I will go deeper into the thread.

Hmmm. I'll give that a try, but I don't know if that addresses the problem of posts being marked read that are not. BTW, this always happens if I use the back button, or click on a link that opens another browser instance of some civfanatics site.

Anything with "Poll" in the title ;) Also, any topic in OT whose title sounds a bit odd or intriguing - it always nice to see someone posting weird thoughts or experiences on the board.

Otherwise, it's History, Site Feedback and Sports when there's been a grand prix.

I always avoid threads that have "Iraq, Middle East, Palestinians, Israel" etc in the title.
