One of the things ive noticed about the civs agreesive tendencies is there always the same. True to the real world.

I have been contemplating writeing a quick randomizer and maybe even for the starting traits. That way zulus might be trustworthy one game and india may go to war at the drop of a hat or when you dont give them a hat and they told you to.

Is this something people would be intrested in?

I think that there already is variability in how a given civ will act under different situations. I know that Egypt has been a trusted ally in one game and a backstabbing @#&^ in another. But I find it enjoyable that some civs act relatively consistently between games; it gives the civs character that they would otherwise lack...

I hate those Greeks! Actually, I just hate their hoplites. I usually take over my closest neighbor really early, and if that neighbor happens to be Greek then it makes my conquest more difficult :D

Zulus and Germans are aggressive as hell, but I havent had any trouble with them yet. Germany is normally weak, as Bismark doesnt claim land as fast as his neighbours and Shaka is, as someone said, suicidal. He enters any war he can, normally impis against knights or better. What a wacko.

The other expansionists are hardly a problem in my games, funny as it is. Americans love to be wiped out before I meet them. Russians are almost the same. I normally meet them when they are almost wiped out by someone. And I normally finish the job. :D :D :D . Elizabeth is a backstabbing whore, but for some cause, she never mounts a good attack against me and if I forget about her, she sues for peace some turns after. Maybe she misses the tea partner? :)

Who gives me lot a trouble are the Aztecs. Montezuma expands like a ***** and always bullies me. I think he likes to make sacrifices with my units! Damn bastard. :)

Who here is the one that dosen't like France? I would really Like to hear why?

Heh I think it's probably just the American bias against the French... I know several people who really dislike the French for some reason... Why? Snootiness? The Maginot Line? Who knows...

I'm playing a game right now where the Zulus have given me no trouble at all, despite sharing a huge and relatively undefended border with me. The Brits, on the other hand, are giving me no end of grief!

as of today the zulus.

its 1990, im in the lead by 500 points, im aproaching a cultural victory with the zulus and french still in the game.
randomly they nuke me. luckily i had sdi, so only two of my cities were wrecked, but i was not pleased.

Hehe, you let the Zulus survive until the Modern Age? Ye gettin what ye deserve, mate ;)

Seriously, I will suicide my civ into the ground before I let the Zulu survive past the Middle Ages... (we got a little blood feud going...)

I chose France. They are the only civ that I've had problems with in any of my games.

I seem to get along with Germany and never fail to have the Iroquois as an ally. In fact, the current game i"m playing was a giant map with every civ. I'm America and my two allies are Iroquois and Germany.....versus the rest of the world. As soon as the rest are conquered....bye-bye Germany and Iroquois nation.:D

I hate the Persians.

I really hate the Persians.

DIE DIE DIE Xerxes you S.O.B.

Nothing pisses me off faster than hordes of Immortals assaulting my cities.

And nothing satisfies me more than hordes of Immortals dying before the awesome firepower of my Cavalry and Cannons.

Unless, of course, Xerxes wipes me out before I get that far.

Did I mention that I hate the Persians?

In the context of ‘which one do you really hate to see nearby early in the game’, I have to go for the Zulus.

The Germans can be troublesome, but in my games they’ve always been very calculating. They’ve never declared war on me when my advisor is telling me my army is bigger or at parity with them – despite my best attempts in my current game to goad them into attacking. Of course, they almost always declare war when they gain a numerical advantage, but that makes them predictable.

The Zulus, though, are simply insane. I can seldom predict when they’re going to attack. In the early game, they almost always attack because they build military units almost to the exclusion of all else (so their military is always bigger than mine). Having to spend a dozen or more turns erasing them puts a dent in my early city-building. Once I go to war with the Zulu, I seldom stop before wiping them out. It’s fun to have a horde of forty Zulu workers cleaning up my late-game pollution, decades (or even centuries) after the last Zulu city was erased.

Cheers.

I don't like France because nothing seems to be enough for them..I almost always go to war against them for refusing a demand. It seems as though if they have no room to expand they will also declare war on the nearest person... or so it seems with my games.
I have no problems with Germany...they ask I refuse they say "OK" and go about their business.
Also has anyone noticed how the Aztecs just lay down when you go to war with them? It seems they offer no resistence when at war and are easily taken in a few turns. Or is this just me?

I voted for (against?) the Aztecs. They seem to always give me trouble.

The Zulus are a close second. I've learned to give Shaka what he wants.:(

Number 1 evil civ has to be the germans, i once played a game where they kept demanding tributes, eventually i refused and they declared war, no big deal i thought (they were the other side of a huge continent). This was in the middle of the ancient age.
Next thing i know its about 5 advances into the middle ages and i look up to find 40 (!!!!) german swordsman closely followed by 20 (!!!!) knights (all veteran btw). Needless to say i did not survive for long despite having just built quite a lot of samuri.

No. 2 is probably the zulus just for never being reasonable

In joint 3rd is probably the aztecs and egyptians for being really annoying and for sometimes overwhelming u w. hordes of jag warriors or war chariots

Chinese and English are sometimes annoying, they have lonnnng memories

Personally i have never had problems from the japs or persians though i don't think i have ever started next to them.

In my last game I was in war with the babylonians. It was quite peacful since they were in the other end of the world. But one turn after they managed the americans into an alliance against me (i played japan) the whole world was in war with me because the americans made alliances with everybody  leaving nobody for me to ally. I barely survive and my reputation was ruined for about until 1900 (it happened around 100 AD)...
I had a lot of work to kick everybody's @ss after this - but that was fun after all.

(oh moa had a LOT of pain in the torture room......):satan:

Won't 40 war chariots give you a chance of a great leader of one of your Infantry. That would help wouldn't it then again they aren't much help in the industrial age cause you probally have taken a lead.
