Post count questions

Why do you need to "commerate"? Because you do actually care about your postcount, hence you checking it to see what number your at. Just proved my point for me, thanks.

I'll admit I care (just as an interesting statistic and proving to me how addicted I am to this site), I just don't spam to get there.

I don't care all that much about post count either.... With that said.... TF... can you make the first RPG posts count? Then mine will shot up about a thousand?

i believe thats the general truth for most, they get to 250 posts, then launch a barrage of spam to get that avatar

well not me, i got to one, then came the infamous "emperor of the world thread" [shame]

For me it took like 6 - 7 months to get to 300.
Look at me know

i was the same way, took for ever to get 300, then kinda took off, next time i looked it was 1000

I should clarify, that to me, personally, post count is meaningless.

I just see no point in hiding it, with any real reason.

Most people have got the message now, that post-count elitism is a no-no on CFC.

Yes, give me my 400 posts back! I think that dg2 rpg is the evidence that post count is considered elitist here.

Why is it so, that everyone (almost) posting here in the Site Feedback have a fairly high postcount?

Because they are the people who spend their sad lives posting here, like me!

Hence the inflated post count.

the post count is no important.
if 5000 post are spam no one remember any interesting contribution from you, people use to remember poster by the things they said not by the high number of their posts

Perhaps as the post count goes up, it gets heavier so you can only post in the lower forums?

You'll notice that mainly OT posters post in Site Feedback, almost like an OT Junior... Occasionally a thread gets moved here from another forum which is started by someone I have never heard of with thousands of posts, and the rest of the thread is posted by OT posters.

I don't post anywhere but OT, SF, and All Other Games. I bet there are people here who post only in Civ3 Forums and nowhere else similarly.

If posts were hidden, this argument wouldn't happen. And since it comes up every couple of weeks, just make them hidden.

And no matter what anyone says on this site, the majority of people SPAM LIKE CRAZY, just to have a high post count. Have the demogame posts count? Thats about 90% spam, especially with the pointless RPG.

I have an idea! How about the chat room counts as posts! Add 27,000+ to CT and over 9000+ posts to me! If posts don't matter, than you guys wouldn't care would you?

Actually your first arguement is completely wrong as the post count was hidden for awhile, can you guess why it came back?

I spend my day (and night) at a computer, so that is why I can post a lot.

Also I only come here for entertainment.

My main activity sites are CDG and Poly.
