PreNOTOR: Nations of the Old Republic

I might join this, but I can't even follow 90% of what's being said in the thread. I've watched the trilogy + the prequels, but this seems a bit too indepth for me. :p

Sonereal, I've already claimed Adarlon as my capital. I would offer to do some planet sharing, similar to my offer about Utapau, but you're a declared Sith faction and thus sharing with you would be an anathema to my own society. I can move if your heart is set on the Minos Cluster and I'll start searching for more uninhabited, habitable worlds.

BTW you do know that Karideph is vastly overpopulated by a species known as the Kari, whose numbered over a 100 billion by the Galactic Civil War, and Pergitor could be rather hot depending on whether ayra decided Jesa Corporation has mined it yet, there's no official date.

No, it's no problem. I actually think I'm going to have to drop out due to classwork.

Play KOTOR I and II, or watch a LP of it. 90% of all canon in tis time period is from those two games.

I'm going to be gone from tommorow to Monday, just an FYI.

I suggest:

Give a quick skim over those articles, and I feel confident that you will understand much more of what is going on. The movies themselves are almost irrelevant in this game, because it is set nearly 4000 years before Episode 1 :p . In my opinion though, its a more interesting time period, hence why I have created a game in it.

I understand about the classwork part of course, but im still sad to see a player go. If your load lightens I can always let you come in as a future revolter should you still be interested in this.

In other news, I have saved a skeleton of what I had finished last night on the front page. I will fill in the stats of the ships, add ground forces, and add more substance to the paragraphs in the very near future. I also added Stability into the template along with a description with the rest.

I'll take a look at those articles... this could be interesting.

OP updated with the warfare section, and the Sect listings have been updated with the generally accepted numbers (you dont know for sure unless you are aligned with that sect, and even then, the more secretive sects might withold information). All that is left is to update the map with players, add the exchange into the rules, create player/NPC stats, and a claiming section.

However, I need your input on one thing. How long should turns be? I was thinking either 3 or 6 months, or perhaps a year or a month, but I think a year might be a little long for this game., while a month would be too slow. Thoughts?

EDIT: The Claiming, Exchange, and UUs sections are up on the front page. The third post has also been used. Now all that is left are stats and the map I do believe, as well as the turn length.

Players so far, and their nations:

RedSpy: UMS
You had 5 planets in your claims, I decided to ignore Belgaroth. Please correct me if you would rather lose a different one.

Christos2000: Galactic Greek Republic (change the Greek to something more star wars related)

You only have your capital claimed. Please claim 3 more planets unless you wish to be a one planet minor.

Omega124: Neo-Crusaders of Hoth
You have claimed all 4. Your good.

CivGeneral: Corellian confederation
All 4 systems are accounted for! Good work!

Vertinari118: The Free Haven of Matukai
Your all set. You just have to wait for the game to start.

Zack?

Mosher- United Colonies of Naboo
Got 'em.

Prospo- Aing-Tii Warrior Theocracy
Still need 2 more.

Magnive?

In total, we have 5 confirmed nations, and 4 players that may or may not be joining.

Like I said before, encourage your friends to join! Iron and Blood proved that the more players and IOT has, the funner it is for the players, even if it creates hell and chaos for the GM! Dont be shy about encouraging others to join. It will be more fun for both of you if you ask them and they say yes!

I'm trying to decide what planet to be on. :p

Thought it said four planets plus my capital, my bad.

No problem red. Was my choice okay in leaving out Belgaroth?

Mosher how about Kamino, Alzoc II, or even Naboo? All of those are in the same general area of the map, and they are all near open planets. Its the most open area of the map.

Claims - Utapau, Alzoc III, Svivren, Adarlon.

More coming later, I just want to check if those 4 are okay?

EDIT - Xposted with arya

Sure... lemme just find those on the map. :p

Sorry :(. Utapau and Adarlon are already taken.

Oh, no problem. :p Can you point me to where some of the planets you pointed out are? :D The map is quite cluttered. :p

Looks towards the bottom where all the unclaimed (white) planets are. You seemed to have found Alzoc III, Kamino is east of it, and Naboo is north. I would recommend Sluis Van as well, although that might lead you into conflict.

Okay, thanks.

Nation Name: United Colonies of Naboo
Government type: Oligarchy
Capital: Naboo
Sect Allegiance: Jedi Order
Stability: ???
Color: Dark Green (if taken, dark blue)
Industrial Potential:???
Economical Power: ????
Military Manpower: ????
Military Skill/Training/Equipment: ????
Claims - Kamino, Naboo, Alzoc II, Sluis Van

Is that all right?

I claim the entirety of the Kathol Sector(both stars), the Silken Asteroids, and Svivren.

The Aing-Tii Warrior Theocracy announces its support for the Potentium, as they are the only faction to recognize that the force is not black and white, or dark and light.

Unless you want to taste the cold steel of the wan-shen, you can get out off of Kal'Shebbol and Exocron. They were abandoned when I claimed them. Unless you want to share? Or, if you're fixed on Aing-Tii and don't want to share I could move, I suppose. This is the third time someone has tried to muscle in on my claims. Are you all trying to tell me something?:p Seriously one page back, look down to the part underlined Claims and read the list!:D
