Can someone please point to me the difference between the two editions.
How about the official Take2 website (www.civiv.com) where it says:classical_hero said:Can someone please point to me the difference between the two editions.
Customers pre-ordering from these authorized retailers will receive the special Pre-Order Edition of Civilization IV. This edition includes a collector's case, CD soundtrack, keyboard foldout, tech tree map, disc holder and more. The Pre-Order Edition is available via pre-order only and at the same suggested retail price of the regular (mini-box) edition of Civilization IV. Customers at brick and mortar retailers should confirm at the time of pre-ordering that the Pre-Order Edition is continued to be offered, as it is being produced in limited quantities
You can get pre-order as long as the stock lasts. There's no number of items published. Obviously, the idea of the pre-order edition is that you pre-order it before it hits the stores. I wouldn't count on the ability to buy the pre-order edition two weeks after the game is released. Although you may natrally get lucky. After all, I doubt they're going to destroy the nice pre-order boxes just because the game came outagoodfella said:Does ne1 know if Amazon will be offering the "preorder" Edition AFTER the release?
i.e. if I decide to purchase CIV IV from Amazon, say a week or two after the initial release, will I still be able to get the "bundled" package?
Thanks
I see you haven't accounted for uk VAT or the fee charged by the delivery company for collecting and 'processing' the added tax? You'll be lucky to get it for less than £50 in total.mabellino said:I pre-ordered the special edition from Gamestop for $50, added $16 shipping to the UK and got the all-singing-all-dancing edition for slightly more than if I'd bought it from a shop here. I want that tech tree!
I've had bad experience with play.com... even the £17.99 wasn't enough to tempt me!
Also I'm not going to let the patches fiasco affect me the way it did with vanilla Civ3 and PTW... US edition from the start this time.![]()
