President thread- Term 3

We can put a unit in victory, that'll sort the happiness out, we want to keep the two scientists going as long as possible for that quick GS also they are a big boost for our science rate.

Cow=2 hammers hill=1 but nevertheless it doesnt really matter as the city wasnt meant to be growing anyways.

re the city governer, if you set to avoid growth and then do a manual switch of the tiles (even if you put them back) it still stays manual choice of tiles whilst not growing.

I'm unsure how CBR would know about the iron city unless ive missed something as they have a city to get through before they have a chance of seeing it.

thanks again for playing the turns guys should be able too again by the weekend.

Not much has changed this turn, except that there is a warrior to the northeast of Fever River and if it moves to the south then it is dead. I am sending up a galley to scout for us so that we are safe from an attack.

A big change upon opening this turn - Victory:

Turn117-Victory.jpg

Their foot soldier guards are unseen. I assume they are in the fogged tiles to the east. Our left stack holds four axes and two spears while our right one contains three axes and two spears.

In light of this, I feel this is the opportune time to attack the iron city. Our galleys (three in number) can pick up some of those troops. I'm thinking we should take from the right stack, as that is the one GCA can most likely see. They'll think we've withdrawn from the jungle and possibly move in to hold it, realizing too late we still have an army down there.

Suggestions on what to put in the boats? Suggestions that the plan is a stupid idea right now?

And the power graph. I forgot to check the foreign advisor's technology screen to see what we're down by, but that gap between us and GCA is a bit unnerving...

Btw i can play turns again.

Why are we building a galley in the capital, from everything i can see we have no need for it.

Idea is good in theory, in the galleys id say we need two spears and four axes. However i would say we need to leave 3 spears and 4 axes near victory, everything else i believe should come from production cities.

GCA gap can be partly explained through pop difference/tech, undoubtably however they do have quite some troops. Keshiks are fairly high numbers iirc.

Well we can always find a use for everything i spose, maybe we could sell it to CBR? i dont think we need it for anything else tbh. But can never have too much of a good thing and everybody loves the sea!

Perhaps the new galley could ferry a worker across to victory? Roads thru that jungle would aid our defence there quite a bit.

For Iron city, 4/2 sounds good to me.

Just bring enough of BOTH spears and axes and we should be able to capture the city. Of course, if the city defense is too high, we could always go on a pillaging spree
:mischief:

Just played the turn, moved the spears from the secondary stack around Victory into the primary stack.

Put the axes in galleys and started on another couple of spears (switched galley for time being)

thats about it.

Nice stack!

But try to keep it on hills and/or forests in case of bad dice rolls.

Ok so i landed an axe back on dry land, spearmen should be done in two, im sending a decoy attack up the straight between us (about three axes). then putting the two spears in boats and sending them north to lay the smack down on 'our' iron city.

Is that a GCA warrior near our axe?

I think thats close to the break even point CH...

30% rate primarily do to war production...once we can switch to working cottages instead of mines and forests..we will jump back up

Ok new turn :)

GWT, EVG, GCA now all have machinery so if we're going to trade it could diplomatic folk get into contact with people.

Nearly ready for the second naval assault on gca- that'll be coming soon we only need one more spear, sent the axes off up north- the map trade with EVG revelaed very little that we didnt already know or suspect.

First bit of luck was hinduism spreading in Fever River, means we get one extra happy so can grow it a bit more- about the research- it wont increase that dramatically- we don't have that many cottages/pop for it to go that far.

Do you think Machinery will be done sooner than 30 turns?

Have to hope so really, if we can get another gold boost from grabbing/razing a city then yes. Otherwise only marginally.

BCLG, you aren't patching yet, are you?
