People!

More great battles has been won and our Immortals make our enemies tremble! Do we want peace now? I say no! Not against the Americans, not now not ever! They shall pay for their ignorance.

Within a few years our number of Immortals will double, and our enemies will regret the fact that they started this war against us.
I say let's keep on going, let's fulfill our destiny. Because in the old book, the prophecy says: "On the day of the Great Misery, all will turn against the chosen ones, and the greatest of Gods will speak to them. He will grant their soldiers Immortality and guide them through the Misery and lead them Victory!".

The book doesn't say we should lay down our swords and beg for mercy. The book doesn't say we should give mercy either! We don't want peace, we want revenge and what is righhtfully ours.

And when the Americans has been dealt with, I don't say stop. I say keep on going. For Phoenetica! For our Destiny!

Remember what the Egyptians did?

We had diplomatic deals with them, including a peace treaty. But they declared war against us anyway!

When we have won against the Americans, because we will win, we should turn over might against the Egyptians. Maybe when we have won against them will our destiny be fulfilled. But my dreams are getting clearer and clearer every day, and I'm getting more and more unsure about that.

Is the people with me, do my people believe in the prophecy or do you want peace?!

I agree that we should avoid peace with the Egyptians and the Americans, but right now we are surrounded by hordes of enemy units. Would it not help us to make peace with the greeks, romans and iroquois? once they have withdrawn there units from our lands, we would have our east edge to defend and not worry about approaching units from the south. This will give us enough time to build a city between the nest and the southern countries, so later we can attack them!

I'm very excited about the victories up north, and the Department of Culture is ecstatic about the capture of the culture hub of the American's and believe that Lincoln should be squashed like a fly. He is just an infection, an blemish on our perfect society. They block our expansion northward and block our way to the Babylonians, our major obstacle in culture.

All of this said, I believe that we should eventually be at peace. Our culture and research is taking a hard hit by this war. When we could be producing temples and libraries we are producing warriors. If or when we eventually switch to Republic and/or Democracy those armies will need to be paid, and I'm sure the Domestic Department will be hard pressed to come up with that money. I suggest after crushing the Americans and avenging the razing of Falcon's Haven that we be peaceful and perhaps seek to dominate culturaly.

Although I must admit that I am biased being a culture monger, you can in fact dominate with culture. I suggest we build many cities around the Egyptians and equip them with temples, libraries, and coloseums. This will ensure the domination of at least one or two Egyptians cities without lifting a finger. No support money to pay to our armies, no having out iron pilliaged, completely peaceful domination!

So, what does Phoenetican's citizens have to say about this? Although this wouldn't be able to be done for a couple of chat sessions, it would eventually pay off and be a very interesting alternative. Hell, we could even do both. Dominate the Egyptians with culture to the south, and the Babylonian's with cavalry to the northeast.

Here here, Good President! Our victories and our military facilitate no need for a pursuit of Knowledge! Let the scribes in our Great Library deal with that. That wonder should be keeping us relatively knowledgeable in the world, scientifically speaking. Our Golden Age might just be ending, but the True Age of Their Reckoning has just begun! I'm leaning a bit towards peace. I understand the Americans are weak but...

Right now we're fighting on 3 fronts, East, South, & West. I'm not sure we can sustain troops for all. Falcon seems to think so, so maybe I'm wrong. However, we will also need to account for garrisons in the conquered cities to quell resistors & prevent flipping. We also need to defend our capital and reinforce other cities as they get attacked too.

By making peace, we may also get cities that we need not conquer by sword.

There are enemies around our capital. Unfortunately, our Immortals are so far away to help extinguish this attack. I think we are only a couple unfortunate rolls away & a determined attack from being very vunerable.

The soon to be immortals in Pherris will make quick work of those who have infiltrated our borders. I do not intend to send the majority of them to any offensive fronts just yet. I want to eliminate our northern front, through conquest, I understand the need for defense.

We are building up our garrisons on our other borders. When America is gone, so will her troops in our territory. Then we can concentrate on one long front, the south, turning in the west. America is so weak now, I see no reason not to crush her now. By Crushing her, we garentee there will be NO Culture flips of American cities, because there will be no American Culture to flip to.

I congratulate our President and his military team in handling this global crisis.

Rather than panic in the face of our enemies piling on us, and the evil treachery of the Egyptians, Grey Fox has forged a path through our golden age that will soon lead to Phoenetican dominance of the northern areas.

The trade department is opposed to making peace with Americans until they beg for it, with multiple cities. I am also opposed to making peace with Cleo for anything less than her paying reparations.

However, with the looming end of our golden age, and the continuing emphasis on military building vice infrastructure, we are crippling our future growth by battling the world. The sooner we make peace with the civs in the south, the sooner they will begin to war with each other over their now tight space.

I ask all our citizens to consider making peace now with the forces in the south, but not to forget their role in our current situation...and know that the cabinet of Phoenetica will not forget, at least as long as I serve at your direction, however, we will more quickly be ready to serve up our revenge if we focus our efforts on the eastern front.

Eliminating the Americans will prevent culture flips and will eliminate one of the active fronts. Egypt shall pay for it's treachery but let us not forget the Aztecs. They started this hideous war and now have drawn blood by burning Falcon's Haven to the ground. Montezuma must be made to regret the day he destroyed the city named for our respected deputy military leader!

I agree with completing the elimination of America, both to remove any chance of culture flip and to establish our new northern border. I would like to get at least a couple Egyptian cities, then maybe we could take an "Operational Pause" to regroup and build infrastructure, but we have to be careful. We are already entering into the middle ages, and our Immortals will lose their decisive advantage soon. We need to complete any early conquests while we can. As for the southern enemies, if we can take one or two of them out of the war with a cheap treaty, lets do so, but I am not willing to go broke paying them off. I would say no more than 100 Gold, (or 5gpt equivalent), if they would even accept such an offer. Either way, we do need more immortals stationed to the South, to intercept/disrupt their attacks.

I completely agree with eliminating the Americans, as quickly as possible. We should also begin trading technology for peace with all other civs other than Egypt. After taking a couple of Egyptian cities, to make our border with them uniform, we should sue for peace, though we should not be willing to pay more than a pittance to them, and should attempt to extract as much as possible.

An army of immortals would expedite the conclusion of the campaing against the Americans, and allow us to easily conquer a couple choice Egyptian cities.
