^
^
^The Brazilian [Voluntário da Pátria] is an offensive and defensive purpose unit. In the beginning, the Country Volunteers were common citizens that insulted by the pointless invasion of Brazil by Paraguayan’s troops (1864) joined the Brazilian army to fight against Paraguay.
^
^Due to the hostile environment and to the many battles fought in the War of Triple Alliance (1864-70), these conscript men became highly trained and professional soldiers.

Wow... those leaderheads are quite nice... I still dont know which one of them if the Uruguayan leader (heh, I can't even remember his name right now.... which is ridiculous as it's my own country's history)

If you need any extra help with that mod, I could try to do something... the Tech Tree might be quite difficult, as there werent many changes in the countries armies during that period of time... I guess it's just a matter of researching anyway

To understand who is who in the Plata War's Leaderheads, just see this:

Pedro II(Brazil), Oribe( Uruguay), Urquiza( Argentinian rebels) on the top.
The two others are: Solano López( Paraguay) and Rosas( Argentina, that I want to make it's own civilization).

I know what are the techs that will be on the MOD, it is just that it is too boring to put them in the game...

The Brazilians civilitation will be launched next week... because Carnival starts saturday!!!

Now, I dont remember much about that war, which I think it's the one we call Guerra Grande (Great War), but wasnt Uruguay a big part of that war, with two leaders against each other? (Oribe and Rivera, who was Uruguay's president by that time)

If you are making an ethiopian civ, Sween32 has already made a good leaderhead, of Zwaditu. If you were to make a new leader head though, I would like to request that it be of Hallie Sallise. I have always wanted to see a good animated Leaderhead of him. Oh and:

[party]Woo Hoo! I can't wait to DL![party]

Oops... Wrong thread

Yep, the last Emperor of Ethipia is the leaderhead that I want to make.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!

The brazilian leaderhead is finished, not, what is not, it is just the Flics. But They can be done easy!!! In a few days(2-3 days...) everyone shall have the chance to play with the brazilians civilization!!!!

Comercial and Industrial? That's VERY alternative, Licinio.

Looks like it wants to represent the Paraguayan war period. This will be cool.

Just for the outsiders to have an idea, the "A" alternative for Brazil is expansionist/agricultural, with the Bandeirante as UU (comes with Astronomy).

Good job, Licinio. :goodjob:

Is the leaderhead up for DL yet? Your unit has convinced me to add Brazil because it looks so good. Great job!

Is it ready yet????? Ignore me, take your time and get it right.
BTW, I think that the stats that you gave it are a little drastic. In keeping with the Civ 3 UU standard, do you think that the Voluntario could be a rifleman replacement with a point higher attack or defense rating for the price of the standard rifleman, no saltpeter required? (like hoplites having +1 defense but the same price, immortals havnig +1 attack but same price, etc.) Which would be more realistic towards the Voluntario, higher attack or defense?
Wow. Lots of questions. ;)
Good luck with the leaderhead!

The Voluntário shall cost the same as the rifleman, but it's statistics will be 6.5.1.

And won't need saltpeteer.

Licinio, making the Voluntário have stats of 6.5.1 is totally unrealistic to the fact that any rifleman from this time would generally be a stronger defensive unit due to many facts (one being reload) therefore i would suggest making it have 5.6.1 or 4.6.1 (<--thats rifleman) and adding one HP bonus. I guess what ever you choose is your choice, but i, myself, would change this immidiately after i would download it. Just my opinion on the situation.

Also.... is it just me or has this project been nearly done for quite awhile now.... I think you should at least explain why its taking you longer than expected to the rest of the members of the forum... lol, sorry if i sound pushy, once again, my opinion.

Thank you Corn for memind me back from this project.

Do you want the truth??? The UU is ready, all the leaderhead images are ready.

You ask me why this haven't been lauched already? I'll give you two motives:

1) My friend, Oiled Snake has the files. I don't have them anymore. So, it is up to him to post them here.
2) I truly thought that people wouldn't be interested in this "old" leaderhead type. There are other Emperor Pedro II from Brazil out there, even on in 3D.

But, I am going to ask to Oiled to post the files here, ready or not. And if something is missing, maybe you folks could fix it up for me, it would be really nice.

And yes, 6.4.1 it is not very good to the Rifleman, 5.6.1 is much better. Thank you very much!
