PREVIEW: SymNES II

I'd love to play [from the beginning]. 1440 x 900. Are you sure you are not just going to be selling us new monitors?

I want to play Bird Jaguar of the Mayas. ;)

List of Initials is currently:
  1. Fuschia
  2. erez87
  3. Swissempire
  4. das
  5. Chandrasekhar
  6. North King
  7. TerrisH

I'm going to go out of my way to say it now: unexplained duplicates of real world civilizations (like China or Rome, as examples), and things that have already existed elsewhere will be terminated with extreme prejudice. I will reject them outright and will find a way to end them if they somehow slip through.
My smilie actually meant something in my post.

I am dismayed that I am not on your list of players. :(

I have already stated that I will be limiting the degree to which they may be customized and given I have not yet clarified that position, it may well be in your best interests to steel yourself for disappointment.

Don't worry, I'm a pessimist. Always expecting the worse, and getting something slightly better. :)

Trust me, I have not gotten that far into the detail, only a few pages into some simple things like religion, proper tribal rule, some customs, and such...oh, wait. That's a lot, isn't it? :p

Count me in from the start, Symphony D.

In case you missed it, 1024x768.

I'd love to play [from the beginning].

Not being a mind-reader, I require some sort of clue that you are interested in being in at the start. Having reached a minimum of eight Initials I will leave further applications open for an hour or two before posting what you're required to provide for setup. Anyone who was interested in getting in first thing will probably already have seen this.
Does this help? :p

Hey Symph, what happened to me? I said I was interested in playing from the beginning...

I would also prefer to start from turn three, I'm not as good with society, as any society I would try to run would most likely copy the culture and parts of religion of Asia, the war-like Romans, and human sacrifice and parts of religion from Central America. :p

Okay, one question:

I'm assuming that the societies we will be submitting will be those that have already developed agriculture. As such, a typical inhabitant of any one of these societies will likely spend all of his or her entire life in one geographical location.

Is this correct, or are you also looking for societies like, say, the Mongols or the Aryans?

EDIT: Actually, given that Sedentary/Migratory is a value listed on the front page, I'm probably wrong. But confirmation would be nice.

I'm planning on a heavily aquatic culture, and while I realize that anything beyond basic coastal fisher-gathering would be inappropriate at this stage, would it be wise to claim Origin 1 as being in proximity to a large body of water, preferrably connected to (while appropriately sheltered from) an ocean?

Initial interest: Asian type origin

Origin Location: orign 1
Societal Name: TBD
Language Family: TBD
Descent Rights: Patrilineal
Inheritance Rights: Matrilineal
Climate Distribution: Coastal estuary on the edges of temperate woodland and grassslands.

EDIT: I'm looking for flexibility with access to ocean, river woods and grasslands.

Will there be more than one location of each orign type?
